Absolutely beautiful hand made leather book. My son chose this as he had been given an Amazon Gift Card and he was over the moon with it. He is writing a fantasy book and wanted something like this to add to his writings. The book is tanned with veg oil and is hand made but designed in a beautiful way. Even the lock on the front is imaginative and amazing. The best thing though is the letter that comes with the book from the makers. The letter informs you that the book is handmade and may therefore differ slightly in colour from the photo on the item description. However, on the reverse of the letter is a thank you letter informing the customer of how your purchase has helped a community. The letter is personally signed and not photocopied. It looks like a lot of love, care and attention has been put into the start and end of making this book along with the letter.

A really nice journal / notebook.Mine is the exact size promised and it is a tidy little notebook. All the stitching and embossing is really nicely done; very neat and well finished. The metal clasp looks and feels great. Mine came a little darker coloured than the listing but that actually suits me and minor variations are just a result of a genuine natural leather product.The paper inside is quite thick and looks like good quality - although I am not in a position to judge this much. It certainly looks great and there is quite a lot in there. This makes the item a bit thick & bulky. But in a good way - it fits with the grimoire feel and adds to the aesthetic.The item came with a lovely letter detailing the natural, handcrafted nature of the product, and some care instructions to keep it looking nice. The letter is really nice and adds a lovely personal touch to the purchase.I bought this as a display piece for my office and I am very pleased with it. Although I do feel a little guilty; it feels like this should be used and loved instead of displayed. Maybe I will.I am so pleased with the product and I am planning to buy more of these as presents for some of my more artsy / crafty friends and family. This year is going to be the year of the journal!

This is a beautiful journal. I bought it for my sister who's looking into Elemental Witchcraft, and she wanted a journal to write notes along her spiritual journey. We noticed this book as we were scrolling through, not realising it was handmade by a small business. For the quality, it's definitely worth the money. The letter that came with it is a lovely, personal touch and we were delighted to discover it was handmade. It also comes with care instructions which I thought was fantastic.I would definitely recommend this book for anyone.

This journal/artist's book is absolutely gorgeous. Thrilled to bits with the workmanship and attention to detail that has gone into it. .I was so impressed I bought 2. My husband and myself are both into arts and crafts, so will be using this for our small works of art. The paper is ideal for this type of work, being heavier than the usual book paper. The leatherwork is a dream and the lapis lazuli stone just adds to the beauty of this artisan item. I was very happy to get this at a reduced price, as it was on special offer, but I must say it is worth every penny of its original price. I ordered two books, one for myself & one to gift. I choose the gift wrapping option which comes in decorative sack, which adds a great touch. I was however impressed by the one I bought for myself. As you see in the images the book comes in a neat small cotton(?) sack - Potential travel sack does seem too tight to put the book back in without a squeeze. I was then surprised buy very happy to see the stone on the book was padded and well protected. I don't usually write comments considering how much I use Amazon, but the supplier Rustic Town have delivered - Leather & the paper for this price seems a little underpriced (I'm just a novice in this journal life) ..very happy with my purchase & gift. The enclosed letter with guidance is priceless for me.Oh & the message on the gift tag was perfect!
