Dr. Comfort Womens Shannon Diabetic Orthotic Thong Sandal

My sister's podiatrist recommended these shoes for her Morton's neuroma. After I developed plantar fasciitis that progressed to a heel spur I decided to try them too. They are awesome. I have extremely high arches and the comfort provided by these is better than the expensive arch supports I wear in my tennis shoes. A word on sizes - according to their size chart I'm a perfect 7.5, but these are not sold in half sizes. Originally I bought a 7 direct from the company and they were a little tight, so I ordered these through Amazon in an 8 and they are a bit floppy. I will wear both sizes and see which I gravitate toward as the most comfy before buying a 3rd pair. If you measure as a half size it really depends on the shape of your foot whether you should go up or down a size. Also, they take some wearing to 'mold' to your foot. How they feel when you first put them on is nowhere near the comfort you'll experience after several hours of wearing. I did many other things for my fasciitis and heel spur (stretching, deep tissue massage, icing, elevation, ultrasound, essential oils) so I can't say my Dr Comfort's are what solved the problems, but they offer the most comfort of all the shoes I've tried. I live in the south and now that we're moving into cold weather I decided I'm not giving up these shoes for the winter so I ordered some tabi socks (big toe split from others) so I can continue to wear them year round.

This is the fourth pair I’ve purchased! I have flat feet and if I walk without shoes for more than an hour, I’m in lots of pain later. These make it easy to keep something on my feet and I have no pain. Great arch support.

I've had foot pain for over 6 weeks, off-and-on. I went to a podiatrist who blamed the pain on ill-fitted shoes that were flat & didn't support my arch. I showed him these shoes, & to he honesthe me that I don't need to wear sandals with my particular issues, but the way that these were made will help support my foot better. These shoes feel so much better than going bare foot! I would recommend these, & advise people to start looking for well-made supportive shoes to wear to keep you from experiencing the same pain I've felt with. It is debilitating! I've been stuck in a chair elevating my feet for ages, & if I over do it the pain comes back & It's square one again! I've literally had to use a wheel chair until the swelling went down. .. so, even if you aren't having foot problems, find more shoes like these! They're wonderful!

As you can see from the pictures, the new flip flop of the same size is bigger in every way, even too big. These are almost like a nine. A couple of years ago I did try to replace my flip-flops but the straps were way too wide. I couldn't wear them and now they're too long and a little too wide but my old ones are so old and worn out, I can't stand them anymore. I can still wear these but once covid came these flip flops changed a lot and not for the better. If they want to make wide flip flops then make wide ones and keep the other ones the way they were. I have wide feet perfectly to be even wider it's just too much. So do I send these back and get a seven or do I keep these? I do know there's nothing better on the market than these flip-flops even with the screwy sizes and two big straps. I would still buy them again but I am disappointed. I should mention that I have broken both of my feet with the left one being most recent and so I need a bigger space than I ever used to and even then the space on the straps is still too big. The questioning is excellent though and the support on the bottom is excellent just it's too long of a foot bed. I'm going to see if that will support my toes given I ended up with nerve damage from the broken foot that is still healing on both accounts. I can wear these flip flops without any real trouble and without tiring out my feet or making things hurt or making me wish I didn't have them on. That accounts for a lot which is why I give it four stars instead of three. For the other reasons I mentioned I can't give it five stars

Dr comfort is great but they have stopped selling all but black in color.. I ordered red and I was not informed that it was discontinued . Now the tan is impossible to find. Are they going out of business? I’ve been buying them for a long time.

I have a really hard time finding shoes with a wide enough footbed, and also with finding sandals that feel secure. These fit the bill on both accounts. The textured footbed is very comfortable and my feet do not slip around even if they get sweaty or wet. Purchased in all 3 colors available in my size.

They advertised these for diabetics. These sandals will cause a blister between your great toe and the next one to it. The rough bed of the sandal is not recommended for diabetic feet because it causes pressure sores on the bottom of your foot. I usually wear a size 7 1/2 and they only offer whole sizes. I ordered the size 8 and it’s too big, the top straps rub on the top of your feet and causes a blister. They aren’t soft at all. So if you’re looking for a good shoe for your tender diabetic feet, absolutely do not buy these. And by the way, they don’t help with shipping them back. That’s all on you.

This has got to be the most comfortable sandal I have ever worn! I have flat feet, heel spurs, swollen ankles and was worried that I would still feel pain with these sandals as I have with other brands, but, I was amazed from the moment I tried them on for the first time. They are well cushioned, supportive, and stylish and I love them. I definitely will be ordering another pair. Try them, you won't be disappointed...
