This seat post comes with 3 options of spring, I purchased blue spring separately (at 135 lbs I'm right in the middle of its range), heavy riders can purchase red spring, and if you're mid weight it should work for you right out of the box. You can adjust preload of the spring quite a bit. This seat post is kind of heavy, but more metal hopefully means added degree of safety. Overall, it significantly improved my ride comfort, I highly recommend the product.

Have an ebike with no shocks of any kind. This seat post really improves the ride and make it more comfortable.

This takes the edge off the bumps on my hard tail bike. I weigh 195 lbs and the standard spring is just fine- no need to buy a harder spring. It is solidly built and looks like it should last a long time with minimal maintenance.It's a little hard to set the seat at the exact angle you want unless you happen to like where they put the detents. I'm OK with it, but you might not be if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

Well made post but adds several pounds to bike. I have an e-bike so not a big deal. The spring that comes installed is the regular/standard rate spring which provides decent shock rates for riders between about 150-200lbs. There is a light and and heavy spring available if your weight is above or below that range. There is a spring adjustment available by tightening through the bottom of the post.

Don't let the weight capacity scare you off. I was able to adjust spring tension more than high enough to provide suspension and even had to back it off to make it softer. They sell a stiffer replacement spring but I didn't need it. Feels good over bumps. Installed on an Aventon Adventure 2.

Im a big guy 295, i bought the red HD spring and dont need it. My magicycle ebike takes a 30.9 as stamped on the original post. I did tighten down on the preload adjustment, very easy. I ride mostly on road, but find bumps everywhere, and this SR makes the ride so much smoother. It is worth every penny. Funny it comes from the UK but arrives within a week. Ive ordered 2 and I wish i got them sooner. And it comes with a neoprene cover to keep it clean. My standard rail seat fits perfectly, bikeroo.

Put this on my Specialized Globe and it smoothed it right out.

I bought this seat post for a hard tail e-bike and it does a really good job at smoothing out the bumps. Unlike a cheaper spring-loaded seat post I bought a couple years ago, this one really doesn't bounce up and down after the initial bump. Would recommend.
