Bought this based on many positive reviews. This product DOES suppress noise, but the signal loss is excessive and not even close to acceptable--audio quality becomes awful with this installed. Also...buyer beware--I attempted to return the product, but it is "not eligible" for return to Amazon. Product is junk.

It solved my Alternator Whine in my Car Audio!
Works as intended.Input & Output is switchable so is very versatile on my application as I can either install it on my Amp side or install it on my Line Out Coverter side.Bought this to replace my PAC SNI-1 Noise Isolator, which does not work.

Odd result...
I got this to reduce a "thump" upon audio system shutdown, but upon connecting it, I gained a loud 60-Hz hum - and I can't understand why *adding* a ground-loop isolator, I'd introduce hum.Testing it on a different system, it showed no problem, so I can't figure it out. I doubt it is defective, but I can't give it 5 stars either.

Works as designed, but delicate construction necessitates careful installation.
Purchased and installed two of these in my truck in December 2014. They work as advertised and got rid of the amplifier pop. However, you need to be careful with the installation. My front right speaker started cutting out, and I discovered that the problem was a failed connector on the ground loop isolator. The RCA pigtail has a plug that connects to the body of the isolator. Mine failed where the RCA harness goes into that small plug. If you mount these in a way that ensures that plug receives no stress, you will probably be okay. I just pushed them back into my dash, and they didn't fare very well.

Poor quality
The case, PCB, components are all low quality. Each part delivered had mechanical and electrical issues. I repaired and improved the units before I installed within my car. I had higher expectations from Metra and ended up spending 2 hours of my time to improve the units.

I think it effects audio quality more then noise
Looks used out of the box and it had rust on rca tips. , I did notice a little different noise drop but I also noticed sound

works wonders , gets rid of noise other stuff cannot. I use with pa amp to pre and other things. very portable easy to add in.
