Update 3 months later: damn, it stopped working! We were trying something​ with the TV then this stopped working. Has to be a coincidence. This has been the best replacement remote I've tried. I've tried 3 different remotes. I like my Samsung TV but I'll never buy another one because Samsung was useless. You can't use the TV without a remote and, when the remote stops working (and it will) you won't be able to find a decent replacement remote anywhere! Welp, time to buy another one of these.----------------------------------------------When my original Samsung remote broke (got chewed up by my dog) I found out how difficult it was going to be to replace it. Samsung, amazingly enough, has no option to replace it. So I found one here. It works, but is not very good. Then I found another one that worked better. Well, both of those are now crap. THEN I happened upon this one (it says Samsung on the remote). It is twice as expensive as each of the other 2 remotes. Well I've used this remote for a couple of hours (mostly watching one or two channels!) and maybe I'm suffering from PTSD from using the other 2 remotes but this one is pretty close to the original in performance. I am stoked! This remote does not have to be pointed at the TV.to work, it works from the kitchen (25 feel away), has a little louder click than the original but not as bad as the other 2 and I don't have to push the buttons so hard that I'm afraid I'm breaking the remote.Back to the good life. I'll update this review if anything changes. The other 2 got worse over time. This on is only a few hours old!Update. Two months in and I still like this remote. This is my third remote (and one remote app) and this one is the closest to the original. If you need one of these then this is the one to get.

Samsung original remote works, easy to install batteries & worked right out of the package! I got a cheaper clone for less, ended throwing it out. The Samsung remote integrated with the SONOS & Comcast network on the tv.Don’t waste time or money on cheap imitations they won’t always work with your system.

Our original remote was packed during a move and I needed to be able to access functions on our Samsung TV. This remote worked perfectly as the original remote. It took 3-4 weeks to arrive, but I was in no hurry so that was fine.

Idk why these have such high reviews. The remote has Samsung branding but there’s no chance these are official. Straight out of the box charging did not work, remote died and is unusable. Attempted to open it to check for shotty soldering but the front and back plastics are attached in a way that you cannot open without breaking the back plastic. Try a universal remote that takes double A batteries

This remote works well. It is exactly like the original that came w the TV.We didn't even have to pair it to our TV. The only downside is that the buttons (left, right, up, down arrows) are hard to push.

Bought many off brand IR remotes , poor performance due to you would have to make selection multiple times , this OEM. Remote is Bluetooth and works every single time ! Folks in reviews state battery won’t stay in , it looks like it takes aaa when it actually takes aa batteries, this remote is a 5 star !
