Q: Is this good quality? Thick plastic and good working zippers?

I have used the combo for several months now. Both in road & air travels. So far the thick plastic has held up and all zippers work fine. My only complaint is that 2 small bags would fit perfectly side by side within the largest bag and they do not sell additional pieces separately. I am contemplating purchasing another set to divide up.

Q: Would the large one hold a pair of shoes? Going to Kenya where they have outlawed plastic shopping bags and ziplocks, my usual packing staples.

They could but only something flatish, nothing too large. Maybe like a pair of pumps but not much, itd be a tight squeeze.

Q: Why are these so expensive???
