Do not eat this speaker. It’s for sound only
Giving it a 5 star, not because it’s the perfect speaker, because it does perfectly, what it says it is capable of doing. If you’re looking for a deep bass, full on cinematic sound experience, this ain’t it. Subwoofer is in-built, so its bass capabilities are limited. Not bad mind you, just limited. It is however a considerable upgrade from your TV speakers, which are almost always guaranteed to be terrible anyway. It’s a 9/10 speaker considering the price. Looks slick especially if you have a Samsung TV, slides under it perfectly. Q-Harmony enabled for smart Samsung TVs as well, which means in total you’ll have 5 speakers (3 in the sound bar, 2 behind your TV)Again though, do not try to bite into the sound bar. Learnt that the hard way

work well
this ia a nice little soundbar, well made and easy to set up. My only problem was that I could not get sufficient treble on the bar to suit my hearing so I returned it.

Good slim sound bar a good price. Easy to use and the sound is good for normal tv and movie sound effects.

Lip Sync solved
About 6 months ago my Samsung TV went pop and I decided to buy a new one. The replacement TV did not have the optical cable but I eventually found a way of connecting the TV to the Samsung soundbar and a Manhattan Freeview box. The "only" problem was some of the live and recorded TV had delay on the sound. The Apps from the TV (Apple Paramount etc) had no such problems but intermittent faults drive me nuts and with both a new TV and a new Freeview box it wasn't possible to work out why this lip sync was suddenly an issue. So I bought a this new Samsung soundbar to replace the old Samsung soundbar to work with the new Samsung TV. The connections are simple. The Manhattan is connected to the TV and the TV is connected to the soundbar, the ports on this soundbar accept HDMI cables as does the TV and Manhattan. This replaces USB and optical cables on the old set up. So as others have said in reviews HDMI cables fix lip sync issues. Also the one remote turns on / off the TV and soundbar. Job Done. Sound is very good, much better than just the TV and this soundbar has a display to show volume both on the soundbar and on screen and the soundbar shouts the various "modes" that are available should you wish to fiddle with the settings. Very pleased Lip Sync is fixed.

best with a Samsung tv
To get the most from this it needs to used with a Samsung tv;, you will then be able to use controls with a visual display on the tv if you dont you are relying on flashing lights on the bar itself to guess where you are up to, the sound is also more well rounded. It is ok for the money but I upgraded to the 60B.

Samsung sound bar
Very disappointed, l bought a Samsung TV recently and was very pleased with it although the sound level could have been better.Due to this l decided to buy a sound bar but the sound output isn’t as good as the TV itself.

Nice Tone
Very easy to connect to a Samsung TV For the money it has a nice tone and very decent volume for movies etc. You have full control of the tone even whilst watching TV with the Sound Bar on. A surprising bass output. This SB has fooled me into checking my mobile phone with its 3D sound projects around the room. It is fairly heavy which to me says it has decent sub woofer speakers inside it.

Works right out the box with a Samsung TV
I bought this to go with a Samsung M7 'Smart Monitor' (it's basically a monitor with additional telly features like streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc., but doesn't have a tuner)The M7 only has ARC and Bluetooth connectivity for external speakers, and with Bluetooth there is some lag, plus I wanted a proper soundbar.I connected the HDMI connector on the soundbar to the HDMI ARC connector of the M7 and it just worked. Instantly recognised by the M7 and it automatically set the soundbar as its default audio output device. The only downside to the S50B soundbar is there is no HDMI pass-through and the M7 only has two HDMI connectors, one of which is now being used exclusively by the soundbar, but I have overcome this with a 4K HDMI switch by UGREEN.Of course, your mileage may vary if you are connecting the S50B to something other than a Samsung.I have not tried any of the other inputs on the S50B and cannot comment on those.
