Check DuPont connector before using
I'm working on an embedded computer project and needed a way to connect two USB devices internally. This did the trick, however be sure to check the pins on the DuPont connector prior to using, because I noticed the red and white wires were swapped on one. It's an easy fix - there are small "fingers" holding the pin sockets in place. Gently lift them using a needle or pocket knife, and pull out the offending pins carefully, then push them back in in the correct order. I've attached a photo to demonstrate, which also shows the correct order of wires.

Well-designed to add a USB 2.0 port via 5-pin motherboard header
I am using this Duttek 5-pin USB header to add a USB 2.0 port to my Hunsn Firewall Micro Appliance Mini PC N5105 4xi226-V version 5. Be sure to align the arrows on the header that indicate pin #1. I like that the cable is snug and well-made. It has no exposed metal that could cause a short. Most USB 2.0 motherboard headers are dual port with 9-pins, so I was happy to find this Duttek designed specifically for a single USB 2.0 port. I recommend this product without hesitation.

Dead on arrival
I bought these to hook up to the usb header on a RPi CM4-IO module. It seems they are not electrically connected inside the molded plastic case, 5v, ground, and both data lines fail continuity checks. The first time I plugged in a cable to them to test, it was an extremely tight fit. After removing the cable I found the pins had been crushed and would no longer make good contact. Now I need to find another source for this.
