I don’t truly care because peach gum literally grows on trees outside and you have to wash and soak it anyway. But important to notice that that’s how the bag with it comes if someone feels weird about that

This is my first time trying peach resin. I bought because read this is a good plant based collagen booster. Package came in a green bag as shown in picture, no writing on the back. 8oz dry resin , a little goes a long way. I am not sure how to rate this as it’s my first time trying, but I will note that according to my research, this particular peach resin turned out to be of a lower grade. There are many sizes of jagged nuggets, some very small. Colors were mostly light amber and white. (Higher quality has dark amber color , round nuggets and few impurities ) . Many impurities in the bag I received. I soaked 2oz, I changed the water at least 4x in 24 hours and spent a solid 1-2 hours picking out impurities/bark. The specks of bark you see in the pic of me holding the resin- you can’t just scrape it off beforehand. It is properly attached. It has to be soaked for awhile and then dug out of slippery resin. Some of the impurities are deep inside and unreachable until a full day of soaking. It was definitely a labor of love, no easy way around preparing this if you want it clean. After 24 hours and thorough cleaning, I drained and then added more water (I researched for instructions) , then low boiled until it was done. I separated my cooked resin, some to go in fridge to be consumed that week and put the rest in ice cube trays for easy use in smoothies. Overall, I want to keep peach resin in my kitchen always, I’m excited to try recipes, but I will experiment with different brands in the future.. I want to try high quality for comparison. ( for those wondering, peach resin has no flavor, it absorbs the flavors of what you cook it in for desserts etc though . The texture is favorable in my opinion, kind of like cut up jello but more firm maybe. ) picture with spoon was after completely soaked and prepared.

I expected flavor,but only got hard pellets like rocks that are tasteless.
