Medieval Knights Templar Royal Crusader Shield Armor Red Cross Lion with Grid 24"

When your buying things like this look at the feedback first so you are more aware and your expectations are product appropriate. I think this is a great shield for the price! You only have to look at how ornate it is to realize this is not designed for use. That being said if you know how to properly use a shield this one would provide you with some protection. Contrary to Hollywood you don't use the face of a shield when blocking sword strokes, everything is angular even when using blade against blade blocks they are done with your blade at an angle to prevent damage to the edge. The face of a shield is only used when blocking arrows from raining down on you. This shield is perfect for costume use or decoration, it has a very accurate Knight Templar cross design having the swallow tailed ends of the cross. & the center piece shows the original humble Templar image of two knights to one horse. It also sports the image of the lion & Fleur De Lis both emblems shared by multiple cultures. Very nice for the price! But remember this is not made for combat use & as I stated before its pretty obvious just looking at how ornately it is made & painted. It does have a arm strap & handle which makes it all the better for costume use for Halloween or some Renaissance fair if your looking for something more functional for sparring you might want to pass on this one. The center piece & Fleur De Lis & Lion emblems are made of a hard plastic that would shatter on impact. This shield is got a lot going on & would make a great conversation piece for those that love history & one of the most highly trained warrior monks ever to swing a sword or mace.

Would not use for battle or spar but for a costume or wall hanger absolutely! Beautiful and looks to be well riveted but we’ll see over time if that stands to be true!

This is a really nice shield, but a little over priced at $75.95. It could be $25 less. Saying that , don’t let me discourage you from this purchase!! The colors are awesome on this shield, plus it is very solid. This compliments my medieval wall very nicely!! The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of a full 5 is, where the shield bends in the middle there are 2 or 3 distinct creases where it was bent to cause the curve. I believe it could of been made better. Other than that, it’s simply beautiful!!

This item arrived on time as expected and I am very pleased, I wish I could have given this item more stars.This Shield is more beautiful when seen in person, it has a chain for mounting on wall.This shield should only be used for display though, its just too nice to actually use.The handle needs to be assembled, and you might have to make some adjustments to make it fit.The attension to detail on this shield is just amazing.

The top tip was bent down significantly when it arrived, but I bent it back. I hung it above my garage, and the chain broke and the white background turned off-white. The top is also rusting. I would say this would be a nice piece, but only hung inside, and if it had not arrived bent.

This was given to my son for his confirmation. The ohs and ahhs of his friends and cousins were audible when he opened it. He insisted that it be hung immediately in his room. We gave him this along with a plaque that talked about putting on the armor of Christ. Great gift. Sturdy, but its not meant to be beaten on with play swords such as with LARP.

Really disappointed with this purchase. Paying 65$ for what appears to be a used shield is a little frustrating to say the least. All kinds of scratches and dents and weird marks on it and the chain is mangled and rusted in the center where it would have hung on a nail. I bought this for my nephews birthday which is today so no time to return it either.

Very nice and beautiful.I would not use as a real shield. This was purchased solely for my Templar display. I am glad I purchased it over other shields. If you want a nice display piece, this is an excellent choice
