Currently the lowest cost per piece of any themed set
I’m writing this review from the point of view of an adult fan of LEGO. The model itself is great—fun to put together, and looks fantastic. But the real reason I’m even bothering to write this review is that this is a fantastic deal if you are looking to kit-bash (use the pieces for other projects). There is a large variety of interesting pieces here, including four minifigures and some weapons, things you won’t ever get in the generic tubs of bricks that LEGO also sells. And here’s the kicker—with the current amazon discount (20% off MSRP), this set works out to be under the magical bar of $0.05 per piece. It’s the only set for sale directly from amazon (as opposed to third party sellers) that has that distinction, period, including the generic tubs of LEGO bricks specifically designed for creative play. The deal is so good, with such great pieces, that I bought three copies of this set: one to build and display, and the other two to cannibalize for parts.

It’s a good project especially if you consider the price.
It’s inexpensive, I paid less than $24. It’s very cool looking when completed. The only thing I like to improve is they should include another joint at the top of each legs. As of right now, it’s basically a fixed X shape bottom with four legs join to it. But if you consider the price, it was a fun project.

AWESOME SAUCE!
So awesome and my boys have gotten loads an hours of fun!!! One of those boys is my husband so there’s that, lol. He puts them together and our four and six-year-olds tear them apart and create new awesome thing-a-bobs from it! Legos! It was really cold while it lasted! Luckily it comes with a nice booklet so my husband can put it back together again! Ha.

Somewhat repetitive build, but a good set.
I've got a soft spot for 'mech kits, even if I don't much care for the Ninjago theme. It's an okay build -- the vehicle core is the interesting part, and the four legs are all identical, so there's a bit of repetition. My kids love this one and the legs are sturdy enough where they're not pulling them off every time they try to change the pose. Definitely worth the money.

Give yourself and co-builders plenty of time.
6 yr old grandson went crazy over this. Be advised that there are over 400 parts and many are very small. It took a total of 4 hours to put it together but that may have been related to a 6 yr old in the control lead. It shoots little blue clear "missiles" that can get lost very easily if not aimed in a direction that makes them easy to find. Avoid carpet. Great fun and well built when finished. Highly recommend.

This was for my 8 -1/2 year old. and My newly turned 7 year old enjoyed putting this together and had several great adventures and play out of it before it was taken apart and turned into other projects and build. Totally worth the price and the fun they have had with it.

Great for Ninjago Movie lovers
We purchased this as a gift for a 9 year-old friend, and it was the perfect choice! This is a great option for LEGO Ninjago movie fans since it's more unique than a lot of other options. The recipient also loved the included minifigs. Since this is a good-sized set, it makes an impressive gift!
