Bormioli Rocco Murano 14.5oz. Cobalt Beverage Drinking glasses, Clear/Blue

I bought both sizes of these glasses. They are beautiful and as the glass is heavy, they do not feel fragile at all. I dropped one this week into my stainless steel sink. I held my breathe for a moment, but the glass was perfectly fine. Praying I never drop one on the granite countertops though. My one complaint is that the larger glass holds exactly 12 ounces to the brim. You could not even add an ice cube to your can of soda. The description is inaccurate as a 14 ounce glass should have an inch of clearance over the 12 ounces of soda. I wouldn't really care if they make a bigger size so I could buy at least 4 of the bigger size for when I need a bigger glass. Now I am searching for a larger glass that has a design that compliments this one. I hate to have paid all this money and have it be so obvious that they are different sets. To sum this up, they are beautiful, look like they will last, but if you need a glass that holds .ore than a 12 ounces can of soda, you will be disappointed.

These do not hold 14 oz. I already had some and they hold 9 oz. So I thought these would be taller, but when I got them they are exactly the same as the 9 0z glass.

I purchased these glasses (which were Sold by MMP Living through Amazon) and they are simply gorgeous! I haven't used them yet so I can't rate how easy it is to drink a beverage from. They are just over 4 inches tall. I did see the shorter glasses in a store and they were measured to be just under 4 inches tall. These glasses do have a nice weight to them so you don't have to worry about tipping them over if they're sitting on a flimsy table. The colors are so nice and I like that each one is unique in the blue swirls. Overall, the rating on the glasses themselves get a 5 start. The packaging however, is a different story. Think of it this way, whenever you purchase shoes, they normally come in their own cardboard shoe box. If you were to ship the shoes in the original shoebox to someone, you might consider placing the shoes & the original shoebox inside a thicker box meant for shipping. Well, that is NOT what they did for these glasses. Not only were the glasses not shipped in a shipping box, the box itself was so super thin that it had ripped in several places. It was completely inadequate for the weight of these glasses. And the packaging in-between each of these glasses were as thin as the cardboard of a tissue box. These glasses did arrive in tact. No shattered glasses but a few of them did have some very teeny tiny scratches likely from the poor packaging and padding. I’m sure the glasses may have banged up against each other due to the box falling apart during shipping. But the scratches were not a big deal enough for me to return. I would suggest you have these shipped to the post office so you could pick them up yourself and avoid anymore manhandling.

In person, these glasses don't have the same appearance as in the photos. The glass has a different quality on the outside - not as glossy, more cheap feeling, and the pattern is a bit muddier, but still attractive enough for me to want to keep them. The packing job is freaking ABYSMAL to the point that I feel lucky my glasses didn't break, but the box was filled with broken glass bits, possibly from another batch that broke and the pieces got into my box? I'm lucky I didn't cut myself. Almost as disconcerting is the giant crush mark on one of the corners of the inner box. I don't understand why the level of protection is so scant - you're going to lose money from customers receiving broken items and wanting a return.

Had a set of 6 for 10+ yrs, when I got new dishes these were the perfect match. Found this distributor and they were packaged imported from Italy as claimed. Only small issue is the outside of glass has a rough finish, the inside is smooth, reverse of the original set that cost much more.

I got these, and also the 9 ounce, and they are both beautiful! Very classy and unique. The wave at the top isn't quite as pronounced as some of Amazon's pictures. Just enough to look really cool but not interfere with drinking. The blue coloring varies on each glass, giving each a unique look. They are thick and heavy. The outside has a softly hammered texture, and there are no seams.The wide tops make them take up some room on a shelf, but you can alternate upright and upside down to conserve space.I got mine from Amazon's warehouse in the "used" section. They came in a tortured box, and they weren't individually wrapped inside that box (though the 9 oz ones were). They were clanking together. None broke, so they are clearly very durable, and they look it.WISH these were available with a black wave! That would actually match my colors. But they were just too pretty to pass up. I plan to get some of their clear rippled glasses for when we have guests.

These glasses are beautiful, fun, sturdy (so far), but be aware they are huge across the top. You turn them upside down in the dishwasher top rack, and you are getting four in that row, and that's it, at least in our d/w which is a tad smaller than it's predecessor. But I do love these glasses, and I love that they stack very well in cabinet w/out sticking to each other (again, so far). They all appear to be different -- pour milk in them and they're just yummy to look at. I'd give them 5 stars if they didn't take up so much room in the d/w. You know what? I feel miserly just giving them 4. I'm going back in for 5 but BEWARE! If u have a huge family, u will be running that d/w often. Also, they are very heavy -- not uncomfortably so, and not awkwardly so if you hold at the bottom, but maybe too heavy for a child.

Same issue here, I would really prefer this style glass on both sizes, but after ordering this style and receiving the other style several times I gave up and settled. please advise.
