Been using it to connect display port monitor to my ps5. Wakes when the ps5 switches on. Display has been working perfectly.

Took me a while to realise why I couldn’t get my DP to HDMI working and now know that you need a more expensive version to go from HDMI to DP, they aren’t bi-lateral (working both ways).This does the trick if you want to output to DP from HDMI. Only downside for me was that the locking DP connector doesn't work.

Used to connect a cctv system to a spare monitor display port. Even though the cctv box is on a 10m extension cable this works perfectly without the need for the additional usb power supply

This cable has quite a specific purpose. It’s is both unidirectional and also works to allow a PS5 to hook up to a display port.Both those things add to the cost and the size. And it is a big cable. The housing is bigger than I’d like but works fine and is due to the additional USB connector. It’s a specialty item so there are compromises.Hooking it up is fine to most standard setups and it’s a good quality cable. It should last a while. I guess just bear in mind if you don’t need the features then this isn’t overly worth it. But if you do then it’s a good choice. I’m happy with it.

***AVOID AVOID AVOID***The soldering of the connector is very flimsy and breaks easily, as other buyers mention in many comments.In my case, the connector detached from the cable when trying to unplug it after the first use, and it did not come off the input.The connector is still inside the port, and it is impossible to get it out.I got in touch with the seller and sent them a picture of the problem. This their reply:"Hi,I am sorry we cannot give appropriate suggestions due to the lack of knowledge of the specific conditions of the monitor. This cable is really easy to install, HDMI on the device you need to output, then plug it into a USB slot on that device, then connect the display port to a display.It's a nice robust braided cable and feels durable. The connectors are gold plated. Not bad value for a powered HDMI-DP cable either (One with actual separate power, some of the USB-C/HDMI to DP cables without discrete power supply take power from the port itself which sometimes seems to be inconsistent in my experience).This is really useful for anyone that wants to display consoles on things like gaming monitors that might not have HDMIs, and avoids the hassle of wondering if you need an active or passive HDMI to DP cable.There wasn't anything I couldn't get this to work on, seems like it works through my KVM as well as long as I can power it with the USB on there as well.

Great picture quality. If you have an issue with lack of ports on either your GPU or Monitor this lets you use the HDMI out to run a Display port monitor which might not have HDMI inputs.Just worked. Plug and play.It does need a USB port for power, but that's not too much of an issue, the USB cable is built in on the HDMI end.This is an active cable that does digital conversion, but the picture was great and it worked well.

I was hesitant as the vendor suggested it may not work with a KVM swith. Worked great - Needed this in my set up to connect to my hdmi port on my Windows PC graphics card ( the card already has 1 DP out, but I needed the cable for the HDMI out for display #2). Set-up: Using MAC Studio with a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock and an older Windows 11 PC; both connected to a SW 223 DP KVM switch. Easily able to switch between both computers with a few seconds for the switch to acquire both video screens.

The cable works, it manages to give a 4k 60Hz image with no compromise on latency or image quality. I have it plugged on a JSAUX dock for my Steam Deck and it works well.My biggest worry is that the cable that plugs into the source (the HDMI end) gets searing hot. It's almost to the point of burning your fingers if you touch it. My display is turned on 8 hours a day, but the cable's USB power plug is plugged in all day long. I'm worried it will dramatically shorten its lifespan. We will see.EDIT: I glued three small heatsinks on the plug and it's now a lot better. I made it ugly, but I feel the cable is safer now.

Monitor would not wake up with just a regular HDMI to HDMI cpu video input. Had to turn it on and off every time for it to work. Now used this Displayport output to HDMI input and it all works flawlessly.

Ero titubante all'acquisto perchè da quel che ho capito la conversione HDMI (PC)/DP (Monitor) non è una cosa semplicissima. Invece, funziona quasi alla perfezione. All'avvio ho solo un problema di riconoscimento del monitor, che però non sembra pregiudicare il funzionamento in sè.
