As I come into my early thirties, have realized all I want in life is for things like house cleaning to be easier. I was hesitant on the purchase because it was expensive. I have two bedrooms with carpet and the rest of the house is hardwood. I have tile in the bathroom where my cat litter box is also. I have 2 dogs, three cats, and a rabbit., and LOVE to have a clean house. I have an ancient Bissell vacuum. It's huge, clanky, loud, corded, clogs easy, but bag less. The vacuum isn't as powerful as my ancient Bissell, but that's expected for corded to cordless. The dirt reservoir is also 3/4 smaller than my ancient vacuum as well. Buuuuut, the east to just grab the thing and clean up a simple mess is amazing. It just stands there and I am able to just grab and go. I would say I have a fairly small house and can vacuum the entire thing on one charge. Depending how dirty. The battery life is not good at all, unless you have multiple batteries which I do not. But I have a perfectly fine small house. I just have to empty the bin midway. Cleaning the floors has never been easier. Vacuuming cat litter usually broke it up and flung it everywhere creating an even bigger mess, not with this. Under the beds and dressers, in between the wall and toilet, has made my life much easier. I was a huge skeptic, but I do love it. I did not get rid of my ancient vacuum though.

This vacuum was $499 and it had a $100 off coupon the the S15 pet. There is another model the S15 Pet EX ($599). Whose charging base has a spot for an extra battery to charge. The S15 Pet EX comes with an additional battery. I call Tineco because 1 battery is not enough to do my whole house and I wanted to see if the charging base/stand was the same between the 2 models. I already knew I could buy an additional battery for less than $100 so if the stand was the same I would still be saving $100 even with the purchase of an additional battery. I explained this to the customer service representative at Tineco if he could verify that the charging base was the same between the S15 Pet and the S15 Pet EX. After several minutes on hold he came back on the line and told me he was still researching and to continue to hold. Several more minutes later he came back and stated that in fact they both use the same charging base and I could go ahead and purchase the S15 Pet and be able to charge my spare battery and the battery attached to the vacuum at the same time. Well when I opened the box the charging base/stand in fact does not have the ability to charge a spare battery. I don’t have time to babysit a charging vacuum to see when it is completely recharged to have to then put my spare battery on and let it charge. If I would have been given the correct information from Tineco customer service I would have just paid for the S15 Pet EX to have the ability to charge the battery on the vacuum and the spare at the same time. When it takes 1 battery 3-4 hours to recharge it is a hassle to wait around to swap them out. I run a vacuum every day ( 1 dog in the house) so I need to have 2 batteries for every day cleaning. Overall the vacuum is nice. I’m just disappointed in Tineco customer service for giving me false information. I hope this review helps someone else in this situation before purchasing.

Why have I been lugging my heavy old corded Dyson around for all these years?! This vacuum is amazing! It’s light, the attachments are easy to change, and the battery lasts a good amount of time. I was able to do a light vacuum on all the hard floors in my 2,600 square foot house (which is everything besides the bedrooms) and dust all the windowsills on a single charge, without even breaking a sweat. Could never vacuum without sweating using my heavy Dyson. I like the dusting attachment better than the one on my Dyson too.I will say this vacuum does not perform as well on high pile carpet. The vacuum works fine for surface level cleaning but it doesn’t churn the carpet deeply like my Dyson does, so I doubt it picks up as much of the dirt that is deeper down. Carpet also drains the battery very fast. But I am okay with that because I can just use my Dyson to vacuum the bedrooms and use this for carpet touch ups and to vacuum the rest of the house. Can’t wait to use this on the baseboards!With this cordless machine, vacuuming is actually, dare I say, fun.

Pros: has an automatic sensor to adjust power based on the surface you are cleaning (helps to save some of the battery charge), super light weight and I am way more inclined to use it and actually clean the upstairs because it’s so not a big deal to carry it anywhere (also I used to never vacuum our carpeted stairs because I had to deal with a heavy vacuum or a cord, but I find myself doing a quick stair cleaning with this vacuum because of how easy it is to use), cordless stick vacuums are not known to do great on carpet but I think this one actually does amazing on carpet (I have a cat and a toddler and I shed a lot of hair), the brush roll NEVER tangles, the attachments are great, it has a light on it (it illuminates spots on hard surface floors that have dust and crumbs that my naked eye would not have seen without the light feature… but maybe that’s a con because we don’t want to know how dirty our house actually is? lol.), suction power is great (maybe not as great as a heavy duty upright vacuum, but as far as cordless stick vacuums go, the suction power is great!)Cons: the charge doesn’t last a super long time (not great for DEEP cleans, but works just fine for what I use it for on a regular basis), doesn’t stand upright on its own so you have to lean it on something if you take a break from cleaning, there is no way to turn the brush roller off if you only want suction
