The FoxSmartBox Hedgehog 240-piece wooden puzzle is a quality item and the craftsmanship is remarkable! The unique and colorful pieces made it a fun afternoon project!My thoughts and observations:▪Well made!The pieces are thick, precisely cut, have smooth edges, with no rough edges or surfaces. The pieces fit together perfectly, but they do not lock.▪Matte finish!The puzzle pieces have a nice matte finish, making it easy on the eyes and a lovely finished puzzle▪Unique shapes and puzzles within the puzzle!I love the unique shapes, how those pieces form circles and other shapes, and how other pieces fit within those completed sections! Fun!▪Smooth, no rough edges or surfaces, no puzzle dust!Yes, I mentioned that above, but it is worth mentioning again! There was no puzzle dust within the sturdy box or on the pretty pink tissue paper.▪Giftable presentation!The sturdy one-piece magnetic box is suitable for storage and would make this puzzle a lovely gift!The puzzle pieces were loose inside the box, yet placed within pretty pink tissue paper as I've shown in my pictures.The illustration is printed on sturdy quality paper, also a matte finish, folded in half and was placed on top of the pink tissue paper, as was a little card which identifies the puzzle inside.Upon arrival, the box was encased within clear plastic cellophane.Things to consider:▪Your work surface!The pieces are smooth and slide around when working on a smooth surface! My puzzle board was otherwise occupied so I couldn't use it, but I'm thinking a surface such as felt or cork might have been beneficial.▪Transport of sections!The pieces fit together perfectly and beautifully but they do not lock. If you are used to working different sections separately and then moving them to the appropriate location of previously finished areas, this isn't as easily done as traditional chipboard puzzles. However, I found it to be more fun (and easier) to work different sections and then move them to the appropriate location. Since I worked on a smooth surface, (I kept a straight edge along the side to help stabilize movement a bit), this enabled me to slide the completed sections onto a heavy piece of paper (The included illustration works perfectly!) and place the sections close to where they go and then slide them in place. Yes, in some cases I had to reconstruct those sections, but not always.▪The cost!Personally, I have never paid $60 for any puzzle, let alone a mere 240-piece one! But I get it! It's an expensive process and the craftsmanship is superior! However, I'm not crazy about most of the actual artwork and was drawn to this hedgehog puzzle simply because of the colors and the unique pieces.Bottomline:Despite the quality craftsmanship, to be honest, I'm unlikely to purchase other puzzles unless FoxSmartBox comes up with something more to my taste. However, I sent a link of the FoxSmartBox puzzles to my teenage niece and she loves the pictures, confirming that I'm likely not the target audience as far as the actual artwork is concerned! 😜5 stars for quality, craftsmanship, uniqueness and fun factor! But that price! 😮

This puzzle is so fun!! We always have one going at work. One of my employees has even requested more like this one and she's already put this one together a few times. The pieces are all made of thick wood and are all super funky shapes, not like a normal puzzle piece. The finished puzzle is beautiful!!! It would be super cute to keep it out on a coffee table tray since it's so pretty and people could work on it periodically.

So cute and creative. I just love the unique shapes. I had my mother inlaw helping me with this and she felt like it was a little difficult but I didn't feel that way so just depends on the person.Pieces fit well and are a nice thickness. I like that I can take it apart and redo it without having to worry about bending the pieces.

This is one great little puzzle! Even the box it's in is very good quality. The puzzle pieces are nice and thick and very sturdy. Being made from wood really makes a difference in the quality. There are lots of fun shapes to find in the pieces as well. This is a vibrant and fun little puzzle!

I really love how the puzzle pieces have such unique shapes. Looking at them is almost as fun as putting the puzzle together itself. The are also cut with an amazing precision. The colors of the puzzle are very bright and fun to look at. Assembly is a bit on the challenging side which is good as it is not too hard and really makes one think about what they are doing. I love puzzles and really love this puzzle. I highly recommend it.
