Awesome Chef's knife
This is lightweight, razor sharp out of the box, and quite attractive. It's not overly gaudy or covered in a damascus pattern. The simulated temper line (hamon) is cool, it resembles my 500 year old authentic Samurai sword. I didn't buy this for art though, I bought it because it seemed like the perfect blend of German style and Japanese style, the best of both worlds. It definitely lived up to my expectations, and I use it almost daily. Definitely worth the price. I will be purchasing more knives from this line.

Amazing knife
German steel, Japanese made. Amazing combination, only thing is that can get water spots if you leave water sitting on it for too long, but it comes right out with a little of baking soda.This is our second one, love swilling .

Its my favorite knife.
This is a solid high quality knife. The Japanese made knives I've owned have all been extremely well made and this one is included. It's heavy, sharp and easily slices through things like tomatoes where other knives cut and smoosh. Its well balanced and the handle shape fits well in my hand. Its almost the only kitchen knife I use now.

Absolutely super knife
This is a beautiful knife.....balance is amazing, solid in my (fairly large) hand, razor-sharp right out of the box. I'm looking forward to it being one of my go to knives.

It live upto my hype for a serious knife
I have been of mind set of having 1 rely good chefs knife and thats mostly it for a long time but only would go as far as one big box store knifes nothing to costly, I knew I would get something serious if I went for a pro knife so settled on this oneDam was this like going from a Honda civic to a track focused race car, the balance and weight is incredible, the sharpness could cut things just by me thinking of itIt's been a fun process cooking and learning how ease into such a serious piece of kit, this has been quite an experience

Poor Fit And Finish
Nice bend in the blade.Poor handle scale to bolster fitment.Wide, rough cut secondary bevel.Looks nothing like my old miyabi.Very disappointing for a blade made in Japan.

Handle and weight
Love this knife got it as a birthday gift and I use it at work. Had to replace recently because someone stole my original one. I would recommend it.
