MoleskineClassic Notebook, Soft Cover, Large (5" x 8.25") Plain/Blank, Sapphire Blue, 192 pages

The brand means a lot to me as over 20 years ago they introduced me to fine quality paper bound in a beautiful notebook. Something of delight for people that like to write by hand. Twenty years on the quality is still good but their focus seems to have shifted to the larger market of people who do not write with fountain pens. The paper they use now is thin and totally unsuitable to fountain pens. The ink bleeds and soaks through. I have 7 fountain pens of 4 different brands and I have tried them all. Sadly I have bought my last Moleskine. Luckily for us fountain pen lovers the Japanese brands of notebooks still cater for us.

Nice notebook and I love the pockets. For the price, I would have expected the pages to be thicker... even though my pen doesn't "bleed" through the page, the pages are so thin you can see everything when you turn the page. Makes it difficult for art or notes.

Thoroughly disappointed by the last two Moleskine notebooks purchased. However, the latest one is just a huge let down. While this sounds like hyperbole, this is one of a few products that I use multiple a days everyday. The expectation is that it holds up to such use.The last Moleskine notebook had the page holder tear out about 3/4 of the way through... pretty lame.The latest one though, the closure elastic just tore out, and the page holder has started fraying and requires trimming from time to time. This notebook is fairly new, and as you can see in the images, I am only about 1/8th of the way through it.Moleskine notebooks are not cheap, they are marketed as a high-quality accessory. They even include a little quality control sticker with each one. Implying that a human actually reviews each one before shipping.We have used various forms of Moleskine notebooks in our household for years. The various form factors and page options are great. But it is annoying having to buy a new one, when you are only 1/8th of the way through the notebook.

I have used Moleskine journals like this for literally years, and this purchase was just the next in a long series. Friends, the paper has changed. I have not changed my pen (Pilot Vanishing Point) or my ink (Pilot black cartridge), but suddenly everything is bleeding thru. Every page, every word. I am deeply disappointed.

Lovely quality notebook, however the paper bleeds a lot. Not only while using fine-tip fountain pens but even with some 0.5 tip normal ink pens. I had higher expectations when purchasing a notebook at this price and while I'll use this notebook I likely won't make another purchase.

Attenzione se usate una penna "bella" (che non sia la classica Bic) l'inchiostro può passare sul retro.Nel mio caso è inutilizzabile. Ho comprato successivamente la versione Art di Moleskine che ha la carta più spessa e ho risolto
