Easy to assembly. I did it by myself but I had to have help carrying the box in to the office.. Its heavy!You will need pliers to make some of the pieces fit due to slight damage from shipping/ packaging. The drawback for me was that the back piece is made from a bendable backer board like you see on the cheap Walmart furniture. I think this cheapens the unit. Since it is going to be stationary I am not going to worry too much.

I received it in a box that was falling apart and looked like it was put together by a kindergartner. When I saw a piece bent I called the manufacturer for a replacement part. Instead they sent me a whole new box (which also looked like it was put together by a kindergartner). This time both of the same parts - of which there are two per box) were bent. I boxed it right back up to have them pickup while my coworker helped me straighten out one piece to put the original together.You need a power tool for this - not just a phillips head. I have limited strength in one hand and had an extremely difficult time screwing in the metal screws. Then when I went to put the shelves together another one was bent! I took a shelf from the other box to finish putting the whole thing together. This had better last 100 years for all the trouble it was putting this together.

Bought this for work and it’s quite nice and sturdy. We did not want one similar to the last one we had which had the cardboard slots/shelves which tend to peel after time. This matches the two drawer filing cabinet that it sits on top of which is great. Balances quite nice on it. We have a label maker that we use for labeling which can easily be taken off and have a new one out should it be needed. My only complaint is that the dividers on the sides do not go all the way back.

Had a few of these already. These are quick to assemble, stable and work great as mail slots in an office environment. Just enough room to put labels on the bottom from a label maker. The steel shell is great for magnets on the sides.

We wanted something sturdy and permanent. At 80 pounds, it sits on top of a 2 drawer file cabinet almost perfectly and doesn't budge (it hangs off about 1 1/2 inches on one side). We only wish the slots were a little bit wider to handle large pieces of mail, but anything else we found was made partly of cardboard. Be careful of shipping/packaging .... Twice delivered with dents in it, 3rd time was perfect. The packaging was not sturdy at all, so be very careful.

This is great and fits my sheet music storage needs perfectly. Unfortunately, the packaging does not provide enough cushioning during shipping, and my shelf arrived with some scratched shelves and a dent in the top. For the nearly $200 price tag, I would expect it to be packaged in a way that would allow it to survive shipping without damage.All in all, I'm happy with the quality of the shelf, just wish it didn't have a dent!

Sturdy when assembled, but scratches very easily so take good care when putting together. Some of the holes didn't line up perfectly but panels can be bent slightly to make them fit.
