I've been surprisingly good at using these after I brought them. And while they do the job of being heavy objects to lift, they do have some serious drawbacks. The grips are like sandpaper, to the point where if you're doing any longer periods of lifting, you will absolutely need the shoddy gloves they provide. I am also hearing a distinct sound along the lines of sand moving around inside the weights, not sure what's making the sounds as I thought they were water filled. Also notice a worrying amount of flex in the bar when the two ends are attached together with any significant weight, to the point where I no longer feel confident doing bench presses with these.All in all, wish I had spent £20 to get a better set, which is what I now intend to do, as I expect these to fail on me within the next couple months, and so for safely reasons I don't want to use them anymore.

These are pretty good as an affordable option for beginner, although it is hard to do a deadlift with good form when the inner set of weights is on so I just put the max load I can on the outermost screws and do more reps. It also gets a bit annoying having to unscrew everything everytime I want to switch between dumbbells and barbell, so in retrospect I probably should have spent a bit more money on a proper barbell and separate dumbbells. In the end I managed to find a cheap workaround by buying some identical dumbell sticks that fit these weights so I can split the weights between each and avoid having to unscrew everything all the time.

Great for the price. Only downfall is that the screw is plastic so it snapped when attaching to the middle bar.

Can’t believe that such a dangerous product is allowed to be sold in the UK. Brought for my 15 year old son and am so glad I checked it first. The nuts are cheap plastic , as are the bars and the weights and box is covered in oil.

The packing was ripped apart, the plates were greasy and dirty. But once wiped off I guess it serves its purpose. Just a very unpleasant presentation.
