Perfect fit
Used this on my 6 gal. hybrid rv water heater. The old heating element is frozen to the tank. so i bought this to put in place of the anode rod. Same wattage as the element that the unit came with. Works perfectly with the exhisting controls. Been used a couple years now.

Solid heating rod and well built!
What a durable immersion rod! I used this to add electric heat to my RV hot water tank. Dont go for the slim rods. Thos one heats fast and is very durable! A must have for converting hou RV from gas to electric hot water!

Good heater, but...
Was trying to make a drop in aux heater for our new hot tub. Because why? The gummint has decreed that all new hot tubs be limited to 104F for safety. But our old hot tub did not have that feature and we ran it around 110F. Of couse opening the top causes it to cool down as does running the jets, especially in winter. Lot of people think that is too hot. Well, in Japan they run 'um at 115F. I ordered this heater, wired a plug to it and plugged it into a GFCI outlet. About half the length of the white wire was in the water along with the heater. It would work for a minute or less and then pop the GFCI. I'm guessing the wire is not waterproof though the heater itself is. The intended use, no doubt, was to screw the male threaded fitting into a fluid tank of some kind while the wires remain out in the air. Also no doubt it fits that use just fine. Too bad I didn't know that before buying it. I'm awarding only four stars because of my own ignorance which somebody has to pay for.

Works well
I used this to repair the heater on an ultrasonic tank that I have. The tank is about 4'x6"x8" so a good bit of heat is required to heat the tank. Since this was not the original style heating element I wasn't sure how well it would work. However upon wiring it in and setting it in place I could see an immediate effect as it was able to het the tank. Amperage draw with 120V power was a steady 12.5 amps, exactly as expected. Should make for a good solution to something that otherwise could not be repaired.

Homebrewing use for fun in the mash tun
Works well for the ghetto RIMS system and can heat 5 gallons of water at 156 to 170 in under ten minutes. The only knock would be that it is 3/4 inch and doesn't come with the nut and gasket as 3/4 is sort of an off size for the weldless fitting. Not currently mounted in the tun I have fixed it inside a hop canister to allow for flow with the main pump pushing like 15 gallons a minute over the top.Good product

Good heater at great price
Works fine, is very close to the advertised 1500W load. Using it in my parts washer where I welded up a housing for it. No issues so far with corrosive solvent.
