Just got this yesterday and only just now started using it so I can't say anything to the longevity of it. I can say, however, that it has a nice hand feel and doesn't feel cheap. Everything has worked great right out of the box, both wireless and wired. My computer sits under my desk and the wireless works fine at about 30 feet.I'm not sure if there are instructions and mine were just missing or perhaps there are no instructions. It took me a minute or two to figure out how to change the settings to store scans into memory. You change all settings using barcodes included in the (mostly chinese) booklet. By scanning the barcodes you can change the channel, change the mode, upload the stored scans, clear the memory, and report the number of stored scans.I wanted to print out labels of the barcodes to place on my workstation so that I wouldn't have to have the booklet at all times. Difficult to do with this scanner as it doesn't output the data for the settings barcodes, just changes the settings. What I did was scan the barcodes with a different scanner and printed out labels. This worked fine with my DYMO label printer using Code128 Auto format for the barcodes. Code 3 of 9 doesn't work due to invalid characters. Won't can through clear plastic wrap. I've tried it from so many angles, distances and products. Anything out of plastic scans instantly. Very frustrating.

They do look a little cheap but they work great! We don’t do a ton of transactions so I was worried about the battery but they have held their change very well!

This scanner worked great right out of the box and has no issues at all so far. Long battery life.Been 3+ weeks without a charge.

I LOVE IT!!! Makes my life easier. My kids have dropped it accidently on the tile floor and it's working perfectly still.
