weak mesh, cheap buckles
the vest has nice zipper pouches on the inside, which is a nice improvement to the surplus original. but the mesh that is the foundation of this item is very weak and has torn at the corners of the mag pouches. I suspect that the alice mounting points on the sides would give way in similar fasion under stress. the buckles are cheap quality too. I would recommend the original surplus one in woodland over this as thats what I ended up doing after about 6 months using this one (and having to constantly make sewing repairs) all in all good concept that was poorly executed.
