It landed on carpet and bounced under the edge of the couch, but if it had fallen out somewhere else later it could have been lost. Good feel, easy for large hands like mine to manipulate (I'm a 6 ft tall man), but my wife's hands are smaller and she found it awkward to handle. Well made, will look nice on my desk at work.

So I ordered this, in hopes that it would be something nice to fidget with... and here's my Pro's and Con's on it...CON:1. The outer most gears you see on the triad points, do 100% nothing but spin, for decor, 0% functionality.2. The outer ring is completely stationary, it doesn't freely move.3. The inner triad gear system only moves via the center disc (where you would hold it). So if you have it on the table, the only way you can get the inner gears to move, simply put, is to hold it and spin it. Otherwise you're left to have it on the table and spin it that way, this is when you'll see the inner gears in motion.Pro:Well if you're into this type of thing, it doesn't feel cheap... but honestly a bit over priced for what it really is... and yes, if you give it a good crank, while you hold it on the table, it does spin... Also if you just angle it in the light just right - you do get a interesting mandala visuals...

It’s bigger than I expected. Heavier too. It’s very smooth and spins much longer than expected. A little on the pricey side but it’s solid brass and aluminum. Worth the price. Keeps my idle hands busy when it’s slow at work. People in my office are impressed by it too.
