Beautiful cover for my daily planner pages! It is very wellmade, and I love the black leather with white stitching! I am a page per day type of planner, which can be a little tricky with most binder setups. In the past I've had to rotate pages out every three to six months, to make room for new daily pages. I am not a fan of this method. Moving forward, I wanted something that would fit an entire year of daily planning pages, as well as monthly calendar inserts. Basically, I was looking for something that could hold at least 207 sheets of paper...comfortably. I found it! According to their website, the Filofax A5 with 30mm/1.18" size rings can hold 210 sheets of paper. My filofax A5 is currently holding 220 sheets of standard copy paper, which is only slightly pushing it. But I really wanted to make use of my sexy new planner for the remaining month of December 2021. However, I will probably be removing the 2021 pages at the beginning of year 2022, as it does lay a little nicer without the additional 10 sheets of paper. I never intended to use the Filofax inserts, so I don't have much to say, other than, I've never been a fan of the ivory color, which looks more yellow to me. In general, I prefer white planning paper. I'm also not a fan of layouts that combine Saturday and Sunday. Work schedules vary, and not everyone has the weekend off. Anyway, I am very happy with this purchase. I am happy with the pocket placement, and overall design of the Filofax Malden. It was a little pricey, but worth it, in my opinion. I expect to get a lot of use out of it for years to come. Also, it was less expensive on Amazon, and arrived within two days.Regarding the pen loops. They are very small. Almost too small for a standard size ballpoint pen. I am not sure why Filofax did this, as it is most impractical. However, the leather pen loops can be stretched. Which is what I ended up doing after taking initial review photos. Before stretching them, the pen loops would only fit my Marvy le pen, felt tip markers, which are very tiny. The pen loops now fit my Zebra Sarasa Grand Vintage pens perfectly. There are YouTube videos on how to stretch leather. I actually found a YouTube video on how to stretch pen loops for this particular planner. I won't attempt to explain the process here, but it can be done. The leather just needs to be conditioned, which isn't hard at all. I wouldn't want to over-stretch the loops for large barrel fountain pens, but it could probably be done for smaller barrel fountain pens, such as the Pilot Metropolitan. Anyway, I hope this helps.

I thought all the hype about Filofax binders was well hype and too expensive. Just got my first Filofax. It is not hype, it is worth the money. It is an amazing leather binder. The leather is soft and beautiful. I can see this lasting me many years. I will be using this Personal size Malden as a wallet and planner. It is perfect for me.

I really love this planner. I wanted to return it because it cost more than the other colors. On the contrary, it feels really soft and smooth to the touch. I love picking it up. All the rings are in great condition. My biggest complaint about the planner is there is no vertical slip pocket on the right side. However, it stated in the description that there is one included. Since I enjoy having it in my hands, I’m going to keep it and use as my EDC or a cash wallet. This black color looks very sleek. Lastly, I loved all the inserts, but a leather flyleaf would be nice to include considering the price.

Filofax makes amazing planners/organizers. They always have. This Malden A5 is beyond gorgeous with supple yet slightly firm leather with a zipper interior pocket and different sized card slots. It's perfect. Holds a ton including a top bound notepad in the back slit pocket. I purchased this Malden through Pens & Leather on Amazon.com and couldn't be happier with their service. Shipping was fast and the planner was packaged with care. I will definitely be buying from them again.

Perfect size, perfect color!

This pocket Filofax is a beautiful color navy. It looks really good. I was very impressed by how it was packaged and boxed.

I tried for years to do everything on my computer and phone. But after missing a few appointments I decided to go back to the old fashioned way of writing everything down. There are several pockets on the front cover to store items although credit cards may come out to easily, but I don't store any in the planner. The planner comes with an assortment of pages, calendar, and inserts. I wasn't sure what it came with so I bought a lot of paper/pages at the beginning but didn't end up needing them. I don't use the calendar that came with it. Instead I found one on etsy to use. The size of the planner works with half a sheet of 8.5x11" cut in half and hole punched. The size of the rings are big enough that I can hold a lot of papers and turn the pages without an issue. Some other planners seemed like the rings were too small. The color purple is a little redder than I expected when I got it but it is still a very pretty purple. The leather has been holding up well over the last few months but it does show some scratches. Overall this is a really nice planner and I'm glad I purchased it.

I have been a Filofax customer for 35 years and I was so thrilled to see how beautiful the newer model in the same size is. I’ve always owned this size planner and the newer one is lighter to carry, the leather is much softer, the inside is restructured to carry cards so they won’t fall out and overall it is a major improvement. The seller is so on top of getting the product out in time and my experience was perfect in every way. This is a beautifully elegant organizer, perfect size, and much prettier in person. Trust me, you will be so pleased you got this for yourself or as a very nice gift.

The quality of the cover leather looks and feels great, is very soft to the touch, and seems durable too. However, the paper inside is the worst paper I've seen. Fountain pens seem to be bleeding on the paper, uni-ball gel pen has broken strikes. Have to buy new refill papers to replace those.
