UPDATE: We figured out that if you set a temperature limit, you must briefly start the stirrer to lock the temperature into memory. Once this is done, it will default to that temperature on powerup. Verified that it seems to hold this setting even after unplugging. (In short, it seems to remember where you had it set the last time it spun up)Working without any concerns now!So far so good, seems well built and nicely balanced. Will be primarily used for 1.5L compounding of meal replacement shakes, and It seems to have the necessary torque for the task. Included stir bar is of decent quality, albeit too small for our application, but stir bars are available in all kinds of sizes. This is not a problem at all.One concern that we have from a safety standpoint is the default power up heat setting being in the top end of the range. It would be argueably safer to turn it up as needed, rather than have to dial back from 250°c to (in our case 50°c) every time the power is cycled. This could easily hurt someone, or ruin a job if not noticed soon enough.Longevity wise, I can see potential unnecessary wear on the setting knob with having to adjust it down every time, not to mention it's a bit obnoxious to spin the knob for a minute or so.One feature I would prefer is a function to just shut off the heating alltogether for jobs that don't require a heated solution. Currently one would need to dial it all the way down below ambient to simply not use heat.

I was surprised to find NO FAHRENHEIT ... but it works fine otherwise.motor runs quietly, and the plate heats evenly. temperature control is convenient.build quality seems good, and fit-and-finish is clean.if i need another hotplate, i'll probably get a second.

I got this for my candle business to help regulate the heat of the wax while mixing all the ingredients together. It actually works exactly as advertised! It took me a tiny bit to figure out the settings but once I did, it was like riding a bike. Super simple now! I love that I can choose my own speed and adjust it if necessary.The only con is actually the heat levels. The hot plate works don't get me wrong! And it can get really hot! And I also love that I don't have to have glass. It works with an aluminum container. BUT there is no way to set it to Fahrenheit. It's permanently set to Celsius. I reached out to the company that made it and they confirmed this. Having the ability to switch the settings to Fahrenheit would make this product 100% perfect. Until then, 4 stars it is.

Model with readouts / no heat..... I found the controls very responsive and easily set. The three touch sensitive buttons (Program...Spin Direction...Start Stop) worked flawlessly even with the front panel escushion problem that began after a few day's use. These touch controls have an LED within a small spring. I think the spring being metal is what the touch control circuit uses to sense a finger's touch. The front panel is held in place with a bead of pressure adhesive. I have ordered/returned 2 of these mixers because the front panel escushion begins to lift up. It appears that the three springs used for the touch control are strong enough to begin to push up the front panel escushion. I have used some painter's tape to hold down the front edge and after a couple hours, it can be removed and the adhesive does hold down the panel. But after a few hours, the adhesive fails. I truely liked this stirrer, but without leaving the tape on, that panel pops up nearly 1/8". Yes, the touch controls work, but you end up pushing down the front panel escushion which only pops up again in a few minutes. I pondered just taping it down, but considering how attractive it looks without that tape, I regretfully sent it back. This mixer would be FIVE STAR if only that panel's adhesive kept it in place.July 19, 2024 Update... After submitting this review without me doing anything, the manufacturer over in China sent me an email regarding the problem with the front panel. They offered me a replacement unit that would be sent directly from their facilities in China. So I sad OK ... I got it and so far no problem with that panel lifting. Please take note of this as I do like all the features of this mixer and the seller went to all the expense to mail a brand new one to me. That says something great about their customer service.

After using it 4 times, the temperature doesn't read the correct temperature,see photo. It heats up to whatever high temperature it wants to and not the number I set ito.

It works so good it changed my game. E value for the price is awesome! It gets super hot. And the sir speed is great.

I've been meaning to get one of these for my yeast starters. Finally pulled the trigger on this one. Works well.

This magnetic stirrer makes it is so much easier to heat up a liquid to the right temperature without overheating and boiling it!
