Hi There's a "loop" setting where you can set your preferences. There's several scroll down pages when going through the settings 👍 it also gives option of having audio recordings, and sensor setting for while vehicle is parked/unattended i believe too. I've had zero issues with mine. I hope this helps.

Q: Is this a good rear view mirror if the rear camera is not connected?. Also does the front camera view show in the mirror or can that be turned off?

Great rear view mirror and you can switch the picture of and still record. I don’t have my rear view camera connected which need to be connect to your rear lights to work. The lugs don’t fit my rear view mirror but I’ve kept it and sits on top rather than around it.
