How to automatically turn LED cabinet lights on when opening the door
Works perfectly to turn led strip lights that I installed in a kitchen cabinet pantry on/off when you open either door of the cabinet. I used an old cellphone charger that outputs 5 VDC for the solid state relay power supply input. Installed 2 magnetic reed switches (1 on each door) in a parallel configuration. Connected power supply positive to one lead of the door switches and connected the other door switch lead to X1 trigger input. Installed jumper from Neg power supply to XM (per instructions). Finally I cut one of the wires going from the led power supply to the strip LEDs. Connected these two wires to the solid state relay output contacts. Note that initially I was driving a small electromechanical relay directly from the reed switches, but the reed switches kept failing. I suspect they could not handle the relay coil inrush current. The solid state option is much more compact and less expensive than the electromechanical option.

Mine never trip to indicate a signal was being detected. Verified with meter that my motion sensor when tripped sent a 3.5v out put. Relay never saw it..... junk.

Works great, just a bit expensive
The module itself works great. I tested triggering high and low and all was good. I did some response time testing using a 5v trigger and it was in the 550-600μs range when logging via my Arduino, though I think the module was about half of that. Decent performance and a nice board, just a bit pricey for what you get.
