Just installed in a bathroom with no fan, just a light. It took about 8 hours to fully install with a 1 trip to the hardware store. I installed it from the attic side. I was lucky due to the fact that I had an attic drop down ladder, and the attic had a floor. I had to pull a second 12-2 romex down the wall to the switch. It needs 4 conductors plus a ground. I then installed a junction box a few inches from the fan. I also attached a wire to the fan light wires to a second led can light look fixture over the shower. I reused every thing I could from the original set up. The instructions were clear on the wiring, but the install was a bit harder to figure out, because this isn't what i do. It works like this. When the top switch(power) is off, only the light works. When the power switch is on, and fan switch is off, the fan comes on automatically full blast when taking a shower. When the power and second switch (fan) is on, the humidity sensor is over ridden and the fan comes on manually. lighting is advertised at 2700k, and next to a 3000k it appears about right. Very quiet operation, almost silent. I ran a straight 4 inch 20 foot duct, and it blows out a mini tornado!

Great product. I installed two. Very low sound emission. Beware - Unfortunately my wiring only allows me to turn the fan and light on manually. I had hopes sensors would work. ALSO light very bright.

I ordered this to replace my old noisy exhaust fan. I did not do the installation, but I was told it was very easy. Nice and quiet and no steam buildup in my bathroom!

This fan has now FAILED after only 90 days. DON'T BUY --- I had issues with the order from the beginning. I ordered a more expensive fan with better features but was shipped a cheaper fan. After installing the fan I realized it didn't work like it was supposed to and come to find out it was because I had been shipped a fan without a humidity sensor. I asked the company to ship me the correct fan and I would return the incorrect ceiling fan because if I returned the fan before I had a replacement I would have to leave a big hole in my ceiling where the fan is installed. The company refused to ship me a new fan until I returned the incorrect one. That was impossible without leaving a gaping hole, so I had to accept a refund on the difference and leave the incorrect fan installed. Then, as stated above, after 90-days, the fan has started to fail. It squeals and seizes up. DO NOT PURCHASE. These are inferior products.

Humidistat fan stays on 24/7. I called the company and talked to two different service reps (foreigners, so not sure they even understood my problem) who both insisted this was normal operation. I wouldn't have purchased if I had known it would run constantly. However, it is extremely quiet.

So far love it. Had it hooked to two switches. Switch 1, power thermostat is always on but fan only goes on automatically if humidity rises above my set temp. If I toggle switch fan goes into manually mode. Other switch is for light. So we never have to remember to turn it on or off. Love it and hope it lasts. Very quiet.

These bath fans are great. I put them in my rental units and in my own home. They work just like they are described. I have no complaints about them so far. The one in my own home runs 24/7 to cycle out air on low mode and then kicks up to high when enough moisture is present or I turn it on high. Great product!

Mine was in excellent condition. You can tell it was a return because someone tried to install it - the adapter had the really strong duct tape on it.LED light very bright for me and quiet, but definitely NOT silent, fan.Good price and works as expected.In order for me to mount it, I had to travel up into attic to remove the old one and install this one.I only have 2 switches to the fixture, so I did not connect the extra wires for the humidity sensor function. I wondered if I could just connect them to the fan switch wires, but the instructions do not explain if/how this could be done.
