I bought this as a gift for a friend, but before I gave it to her, I used the letters to write out a message. So I got a good look at the letters and characters. I was so surprised at how many different characters, symbols, punctuation, etc. are included. And the kit included letters in two different sizes, so there is a LOT of variety. Now I want to buy one for myself...

I have a vacation rental and this is a perfect choice to personalize every guest who stays at my place.

Ca fait deux fois que j’ai commandé cette letterboard. Et deux fois qu’elle arrive mal finie (le cadre s’ecarte aux jonctions). C’est vraiment dommage car autrement c’est top. Je tente ma chance et je vais la commander une troisième fois, mais je trouve le contrôle qualité n’est pas au RDV malheureusement.

I've been admiring these sorts of boards from afar for a while now but finally gave in and decided to get my own. I went for this one and I'm so glad I did – it's a great size, feels really good quality and it comes with a fantastic selection of letters, numbers and symbols. Having the two different sizes of letters etc. is wonderful too. However, there are a few things I think it's worth mentioning:- I am not a lazy person by any means and I really enjoy crafts/intricate work, but it took me a LONG time to cut/break all the characters off the plastic strips they come attached to! It is clear from the pictures that they come like this, but don't underestimate the time this takes if you do it all in one go.- As others have mentioned, the little drawstring bag that comes with the board is nowhere near big enough to hold all the characters! I've opted to just keep the smaller ones in there as a result, but it would have been nice to have a bigger bag too for the larger ones.- The edges on the characters can be quite sharp and they can be quite fiddly to get in/out of the board. I actually spent a while trying to file the edges of some of them before using them for the first time (where you have to break them off the main strips of plastic they tend to be left with rough bits that stick out slightly) but even so, by the time I'd finished making my first display one of my finger nails was bleeding from trying to lift up the pieces and move them around! The worst thing was that I'd actually got blood on half the white letters without realising, so I then had to take them out, try to clean them and start from scratch, which didn't work very well.- Finally, it says on the outer box that the board comes with a 'desk & wall mount'. Although the frame does have a metal hanger on the back so it can be wall mounted, there is nothing that allows it to be propped up securely on a desk which is a shame.I have dropped a star because of these points, but I want to stress that it is still a gorgeous item and I don't regret my purchase at all. I do, however, hope the characters might become available to purchase separately, apart from anything else because a number of mine have still got blood marks on – the small characters in particular are not easy to clean!
