High-quality and fresh
These Korean red chili pepper gochugaru flakes powder appears to be of high quality and fresh. They are pretty fine flakes that are easy to use like a powder. The color is an attractive orange red. They have a nice peppery flavor with a mild heat to it. Versatile and work well in many dishes including kimchi, tteokbokki, soups, stews, etc. These come in a resealable, plastic standup bag, with a little viewing window in the front. The ingredients are 100% dried Korean organic red pepper. High-quality and smells fresh. Mine has a best before date of about 11 months from now. Product of Korea. Overall, I'm really pleased with these gochugaru flakes. A little pricey but worth it for the quality and taste. Good product.

Beautiful, earthy aroma; perfect spice
These organic red chile flakes are a lot finer than normal crushed red pepper, which makes them very versatile and easy to use. Upon opening the bag, I immediately noticed a very full, fragrant and earthy aroma, and it tasted just as amazing! It has just the right amount of flavor and spice, and the color is excellent. I added about a half teaspoon to a Thai dish that I’d forgotten to add chiles to (Pad Woon Sen; two portions, so a quarter teaspoon each), and this really completed it — it was perfect! I’m looking forward to using this in other Asian dishes where it calls for chiles, because I really like how fine these are ground. As a side note, I didn’t get around to using this until after the “best by” date, but it was sealed without air, and it still smells and tastes perfectly fresh. Definitely a great addition to my spice cabinet!

Good Taste, Not Cost Competitive
The quality of the gochugaru is good. I use this stuff when I make gochujang sauce, and it has excellent flavor. I also use it in place of crushed red peppers in some recipes.Unfortunately, I don't think this is very competitive. There are other cheaper options that have a more consistent grind. If this were more price competitive, I have no issues recommending it. Great flavor, nice and fresh.I ordered this October 2022, and the bag is marked September 2023, so 11 months expiration from order. Made in South Korea.

Good Quality & Tasty
I honestly don't know what might justify the very high price of this chili powder (was $29, now $26 (today's price) for a few dustings over a half a pound), but it is quite good. Seems to be high quality. Looks great in the bag. Even has a tiny bit of sparkle when the light hits it just right. From what I can tell, it's very clean and fresh. Has a pleasant taste and is versatile for all of your cooking needs. Great for all sorts of dishes, from Asian to American to recipes from all around the world.

Great pepper
This is great chili pepper. The heat is a bit more subdued than other hot peppers. There is a slight burn that hangs around rather than an intense burn all at once. The flavor is excellent with a good balance of mild sweetness and heat. The only real problem is the price. You do get quite a bit of pepper, but $26 is still pretty high.Overall, this is great tasting pepper flakes with a balanced flavor and a moderate heat.

Delicious, medium heat and slightly sweet!
These chili flakes are so tasty! They're initially sweet with a mild heat and a slow burn. I love the rich red color of the flakes - it really makes them stand out in your food. I like using this in stir fries, but I've also tossed this on pasta and pizza. These chili flakes are medium coarse - not too fine / not too big. They're packaged in a resealable bag and smell fresh upon opening. I ordered mine in Oct. 2022 and they expire in 2023. The package is large, a little over a 1/2lb, so it should last awhile.
