We've tried several things to get this mat to lay flat with no luck. It seems like the top layer is just slightly bigger than the bottom so the top always bunches up and makes it hard to use. The "markers" also all leak.

My 2yr old grand daughter loves it. It is nice size easy to use no mess. unfolded nicely, no plastic smell. Would by again and will buy as present.

It's not all that it's cut out to be in pictures. I thought it would be more durable and brighter, more appealing to the children but it's cheaply made.It won't last long and I won't buy it again.
