Firstly, I'm glad that I decided to change out my old battery. It was incredibly swollen and if you know anything about Li-ion batteries, swollen ones are in danger of exploding and causing a fire. See photo of original battery pack. In the kit, all the materials EXCEPT RUBBING ALCOHOL are included in it. You WILL need rubbing alcohol to loosen the adhesive that is holding the batteries to the computer case. I would suggest that you deplete the battery you're replacing as a safety precaution. I work for an engineering forensics and consulting company and have seen first-hand the power of Li-ion batteries when they discharge quickly. You can receive 3rd degree burns instantly if it explodes on you. Depleting the energy of the old battery by simply running your computer until it shuts itself off is a way to lessen the chances of hurting yourself and burning your house down. Back to the kit. It is well put together and comes with an instruction booklet that is in color. All the tools needed are included. I would buy this kit again.

Really great battery. The instructions were good. I supplemented it with some good YouTube videos. Getting running alcohol (which is not included) and dripping it onto the plastic yellow rectangles so they go under the battery made it so easy to remove.Do be VERY careful: I broke a couple of resistors in the Mac when first removing the main battery connector. Look up some how-to videos on that because the connector is about half way from the block at the base. I kept trying to pry it at the base itself. Thankfully the computer still works great.

I purchased this kit over a much more expensive kit costing $99 and am totally satisfied with the installation process. The hardest part was removing all the old sticky tape after the old battery had been removed. So happy to breathe new life into my 15" 2013 MacBook Pro, especially since it has a lot of software which would be expensive to replace such as MS Office and the Adobe Suite which includes Photoshop, etc.!

The instructions are kind of ok. I am pretty good at repairing things so I did not have any problems. You will need some 70% isopropanol alcohol to dissolve the old glue of the batteries. Just take your time doing it and keep your screws organized as to where they go and everything should be easy.Battery life is only about 3 hours of use.

Works great now! I was nervous about ordering a non-apple battery but so far it is working great. My old 2014 macbook pro has not held a charge in years, plus I didn't even realize that my battery was expanding and that was the reason my track pad was not working properly. Now, that is also back to normal. Getting the old battery out was the hardest part.

I used this replacement kit for my 2013 MacBook Pro. The original battery would only work until it hit 60% and it would die, figured I'd replace the battery.I am a technologically inclined person, and this battery replacement was quite difficult. I wound up getting impatient with the included tools and used some other tools from a kit I have. I used a metal pry bar and I most definitely should not have.I did wind up puncturing the old battery which caused some smoke and some odor. Nothing major though, took it to a battery disposal place and they handled it.This incident is no fault of the seller or the equipment provided, rather it is my own fault. I got impatient and went to metal tools. Please use the plastic tools that are provided.Since replacement the battery works all the way down to 1%.Overall, this battery replacement kit is of good quality and value, and I would recommend this to anyone who needs a battery replacement in their applicable MacBook.

The front tab does not exist on the old battery. Since id does not go under the circuit board and the touch pad cable needs to router over the battery, I needed to cut a square out of the tab to align it over the circuit board.It appears that this is not a new or even properly recycled battery:MFG date 2021The cycle count is 320 and should be 1The capacity is 1366 mAh should be > 8400 mAh
