This is a quality product well made.
I bought this for spraying Rustoleum. It will spray it straight out of the can. But if you want a good finish you will definitely need to thin your paint. Depending on your thinning agent percentage may very. However I do about 10%thinner 90%paint.The gun is very nice and easy for me. It fan adjustment works well. Once I learned to feather the trigger. I learned how much control you have over the amount of paint applied. Also this has a great effect on cutting down overspray. In turn this conserves paint. The hose is also high quality rubberish hose. The fan unit is very quiet and powerful. The 3M pps2.0 with the with the pressure cup is a nice addition. Making cleanup much easier, faster, and cheaper if you take cleaning time into account. My time is valuable. As I have used this several times it is a great stand alone unit capable of painting well above my skill level. Each time I use it I improve my painting skills.I am a master fabricator as well as a machinist. I have been working as a Millwright for the last 20 years. I definitely know what quality equipment looks like. This is a quality unit. I would recommend to others. That being said it's expensive and most likely you could get your projects done for a lot less money.Bells and whistles we all love them but can you do with out them $$$.One more thing it fits perfectly maybe a little tight in the bottom rolling Milwaukee packout.Hopefully this helps happy shopping!

Fuji Q5 Platinum Spray Turbine
My Fuji Spray system arrived in perfect condition and packaged very well. This machine is very portable and I was amazed at the quality of the construction. It indeed is an ultra-quiet machine and performed well on spray painting doors, trim, woodworking products with various finishes and paints. Fuji’s customer service is very reputable and fast, a definite bonus on after purchase products. I have had no issues to date and would definitely recommend this product. My only concern would be that Fuji include an owner's manual for just the turbine itself. I did receive manuals for each spray gun but nothing for the machine itself.

GET THIS. Period.
Let me start off my saying im not some professional. Im a hobbyist. I don't have a giant shop, but the tools I do have.. are nice. 13" planer, 6" joiner. Table saw. routers. 5hp shaper. drill press, tile saw and blah blah blah. Always have the right tool for the job at hand. The better your tools.. the better quality of your output.I just started building new cabinets for my kitchen, so I wanted a professional looking finish. I sprayed finishes on in high school but since then its always been brush/roll... and if you've done much of that you know the time involved and the quality. Sometimes is ok. sometimes its bad.So I wanted to spray.I have an air compressor.. a 30 gal.. but it wouldn't put enough CFM through to use the typical HVLP guns you can get. Id have to spend close to $1000 on a fast enough compressor (and one that doesn't come from harbor freight). Then you're dealing with cold air.. and having to use water/oil traps to keep the air clean going to the gun. Then you still have to buy the gun.In that light, I decided to look at the turbine systems. Warm air. no worry about oil or water. After looking around I decided on the Q5. Im GLAD I went with the Q models. They really ARE exceptionally quiet. you can talk in a normal voice over this thing. Its high quality. And the gun was simple to set up, even for someone that hasn't sprayed in 30 years and even then, the shop teacher had it all set up.The air adjustment on the box. Another on the hose end, and the end cap adjusting the amount of material going through.I had it up and spraying nicely in about 5 minutes.Ive already sprayed the pieces for three cabinets and they look fabulous. Also of note, is their customer service. This alone is worth getting...I had decided to use targets EM coatings for my cabinets. the EM1000 sanding sealer and the EM6000 lacquer. Both water based for ease of cleanup and the lacquer, while water based, does a full burn in. so that was important.Due to viscosity and cap sizes.. I contacted Fuji support about what size nozzles would be best for these coatings...within the day I had my answer. THey had already tested those specific coatings and said the EM6000 worked best with the stock 1.3mm nozzle and the EM1000 worked best with the 1.0mm nozzle. So I added the 1.0mm nozzle to my cart and made my purchase.other than adjusting the gun I didn't even practice, and went right to work.first thing i screwed up was attaching the flexible whip hose wrong (I felt like a moron and attached it to the unit itself thinking of it as a stress relief section. duh. Over thinking). Anyway I wrote fuji asking about it cause the whip was blowing off the compression fitting. He told me, nicely, that I had it connected to the WRONG end of the big hose. I face palmed. At any rate, even though it was my fault, they shipped me out a new whip hose the next day.!!attached are images of the birch plywood ive sprayed .. the interior parts of the cabinets (yes, Id have liked better wood to work with but rural MS doesnt have a lot of fine lumber selection!!)Each piece was taken down to 320 grit, then hit with two coats of sanding sealer. That was taken down with 400 grit paper before spraying 4 coats of EM6000.The photos are pieces of the first cabinet, resting for the 100 hr cure time on the EM6000. So thats how they look after the lacquer job. Once they are cured they will get a 600 grit wet sand. 0000 fine wool. then pumice and rottenstone to polish. The quality and the gloss are hard to really see in the pictures... but I couldn't be more thrilled at the performance and the speed.spraying a coat on 4 pieces takes about a minute.try that with a brush. The quality of the unit, its ease of use/cleaning and the customer service are all top notch.all I can say is.. GET THIS.
