A Serious Label Printer!
This thing is awesome! It is in a totally different class from the Brother PTP-700, which was the nicest printer I could find in stores locally. I burned thru 2 of the PTP-700s after just a couple of label cassettes each. In frustration I went looking online for a more robust alternative and found this. It is worth every penny. I am amazed by its half cut chain printing options. The half cut leaves the labels connected, but with the label itself being squarely and evenly cut. It saves me a ton of time when applying retail labels to products. Having the perfect cut also makes the finished product look more professional. Being network connected also makes implementation with all of my employees much easier.

Very Good
I love this product. I used one while I was at work, but now that I am retired, I had to buy my own. You will not be disappointed.

Powerful Labeling, Limited macOS Support—Go with Windows!
I purchased the Brother PT-P900 specifically for an ethernet cable identification project, intending to use the specialized HSe heat-shrink tube tapes. Initially, setting it up on macOS was challenging, but manageable. However, I quickly discovered the printer didn't detect the HSe tape cartridges at all. After extensive troubleshooting and a deep dive into Brother's support resources, I found that macOS simply doesn't support printing to HSe cartridges. Brother recommends using either Windows or iOS instead—but unfortunately, the iOS app didn't recognize the cartridges either.Next, I attempted using Windows 11 via a VM on my Mac (UTM). Unfortunately, the software wasn't compatible with the VM’s USB setup, and the printer installer failed to detect the printer over the network. I lost several frustrating hours trying to solve this issue, ultimately without success. Finally, I set up a dedicated Windows workstation specifically for this printer. Once configured, the Brother installer performed perfectly, and I was pleased to find it included a specialized Cable Label app designed precisely for cable identification tasks.**Summary / TL;DR:**If you're considering the Brother PT-P900, save yourself the trouble and use a Windows PC from the start—especially if you're working with specialty tapes like the HSe cartridges. macOS support is significantly limited and lacks critical features available exclusively in the Windows environment. Unless your labeling needs are very basic, Windows is the clear way to go.

Great label maker with weak network capability and interface
I first bought the P900WC which supposedly has WiFi capability. After an hour of messing with this and calling customer support, I was told this printer will not work on a mesh network. So, I sent and back and upgraded to the P950NW which has a LAN connection. It is cumbersome to switch from wireless direct to LAN. The device does not automatically switch, so you have to open the Setting Tool App (not the PTouch Editor) and make changes each time. The user interface on all of the software is in desperately need of updating. Extremely clunky, counter-intuitive, and piecemeal spread out over three different apps. The PTouch Editor has many fonts, but does not include any symbols. So, you have to insert a symbol using a different function which pastes in as an object not character. You then have to scale it and carefully place it in the text. Some have reported being unable to chain print. By default the software is set to chain printing OFF. So, you need to change this in the Setting Tool App. You have to update the software using yet another separate app.

Nice and Easy!
So far so good with this little printer. Took a bit to figure out the software but all in all it seems like a good setup.

A great machine with a minor flaw
Love this machine. I have 2 other brother label printers but this, by far, is my favorite. I love that we can do so much more than our other Brother label printers. Bigger sized labels and best of all its wireless. One issue I had is I can't seem to get the printing tool to chain print, but maybe its because I'm on a mac. If you print a lot of labels like I do, this can be a huge waste. I'll need to find a solution as my PT-2730 will print the first label with some overlay and then exact label sizes for the remainder. With the P950Nw the first label has excess label, but each additional label afterwords also has a small bit of wasted label. I've tried many different ways to resolve this, but haven't figured it out. May not be such a big deal but I go through at least 1 cartridge a day. It adds up to a rather large amount of wasted label.Overall this printer is awesome and I love it.

Simple dependable printer
This printer was easy to deploy, simple to operate, not a whole lot of unnecessary features or fluff. I just works.
