Take a moment to show a friend you care, buy this book
I bought this for a friend going through a low patch in his depression so although I haven't read it myself I've had some positive feedback. The simple 10 minute ideas help to make actions manageable and help shake the reader from their negative comfort zone, allowing room for change. All the ideas appear to be simple and doable but focus on positive experiences and giving full attention to your own actions thoughts and feelings. Suggestions such as eating a meal without any distractions, fo using on the flavours, textures and experience of eating can make you think twice about scrolling through emails on your phone at meal times or feeling the need to always be doing two things at once.I thouroughly recommend showing a friend or loved one you care by buying them this book.

A Great little book to carry around with you anywhere
I tend to get all stressed and am constantly thinking about the next thing to do before I have completed the current one. This book is a godsend, it has taught me to live for the moment, to become aware of every breath you take, every action you perform, every thing you say, do, etc. I practice mindful eating and have done so for a long time now and have found that I enjoy and savour the food so much. Now I am applying that technique to everyday living and performing of duties. It is not easy to do at first you have to keep on practicising, but as they say practice makes perfect. You really have to train yourself before it all comes as second nature, but it is SO worth it in the end.

Easy introduction to mindfulness
Some decent tips and advice but if you're looking for a comprehensive guide this isn't it.However, it is most certainly a useful and easy starter which will help you decide if this sort of meditative, contemplative thing is for you. And, since most of the exercises only take a few minutes, it's hardly demanding on your time.I was a bit sceptical but I got enough out of this book to want to discover more. If you've got the same, sceptical nature as me I'd recommend you start with this inexpensive but surprisingly effective introduction to mindfulness.

Great bite size introduction
This is a great start to your journey - I suggest reading it several times over and practicing the activities until they become habit. It will help you clear your mind of fear and self judgement - of what ifs and open your eyes to the simple joy and gift of existence in the here and now."Life often shoots an arrow at you and wounds you. However, by not accepting what has happened, by worrying about it, by saying it is unfair and wondering how long the pain will last, we tend to shoot a second arrow into the open wound and increase and prolong the pain. Pain is often a given, but suffering is optional."

It's a bit small tbh
The book was smaller than I expected, I probably should've known from the name really! The most important thing is that it has a lot of good tips for practicing mindfulness and living in a more mindful way, which can be very rewarding and requires only a small amount of effort per day. I think that the little book of mindfulness is well worth the money when you consider the benefits that it can bring to your life. I wouldn't have minded about the size if it hadn't been a present for someone!
