Q: Has anyone successfully fitted a laser 5442 clip/ open end tyre valve connector to a ring rac635 yet by any chance?

I cannot directly answer this question but I adapted my laser 5442 clip so I could attach my vauxhall tyre pump (which has a similar screw fitting on the end) and it works great. There is a risk to cutting the pipe on your ring rac635 as if the bore of the pipe is not suitable for the laser clip you have just ruined your tyre inflater. The choice has to be yours.

Don,t know the actual bore but will fit standard car tyres and cycle tyres

I have restored an old Sutty foot pump and fitted one of these connectors. I also purchased some rubber pipe off eBay, also some double eared metal O clips with it.The pipe I ordered was 6mm internal diameter and proved fine.I have found the connector to be excellent, there is an internal u shaped collar which grasps the valve stem threads. I have found it to be leak proof and good quality for my needs. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I don't know, because I have thrown it away. It did not make an airtight seal with a car tyre valve because there was no rubber insert in the brass connector. Whether the brass itself was threaded, I don't remember. It might have been.
