can you tell me where the maltodextrin is derived from. Thanks
can anyone tell me the directions for use ?
What's the average shelf life? Can I stock up a year's worth or will they expire?
Dear all, I see this is the most purchased Pycnogenol, and I wonder because other brands do have 100mg (this is 40ml, more expensive), is this better?

Effective at reducing my hay fever symptoms
I continue to use this for hay fever and it continues to work well, with a caveat I will cover in a moment. I take one tablet AM and one tablet PM. I would say it reduces my hay fever symptoms by around 75% so it's not a miracle cure. In practical terms, it means that rather than suffer from early May, with full-on antihistamines being taken daily from mid-May to late August, I have only had one single day so far this summer where I was overwhelmed so to speak by pollen and had to take a nasal spray (which, oddly, had no effect either!). So just not having to take medication is a bonus as I get very tired on it, with other side effects. The day I was bad was on a walk on a heath, however, the following days I was fine, so it was maybe just unlucky. I do still get sneezing here and there and in particular stinging eyes sometimes, but I can live with it and more often than not don't have any issues despite the pollen forecast being high. And I walk around 2 - 3 times a week in woodland and heath areas so I am exposed a lot to pollen. The caveat is that I also take two grapeseed extract tablets in the evening (for piles, sorry! But it has cured them too!) and I read recently in a research article that it's the same class of substance. So, if you take two tablets of this as I do and it does not work so well, try either a higher dose or try grapeseed extract alongside it.As always with this type of supplement I think the results are hit and miss, it will work for some not others, but I do think it is worth at least trying if, like me, you don't like the side effects of antihistamines much. Finally, although this brand is considered expensive (because of the higher grade of manufacture) it does actually work out, on a pence per mg basis, as cheap as many other lesser brands. So do take into account number of tablets and strength when comparing.

Incredibly effective skin supplement
I read an article about this super anti-oxidant in the Daily Mail when I was in my forties. The woman featured credited it with keeping her skin look about 10 years younger than her friends of the same age. I liked that is was a natural and organic prouct and I took it for about two years, during which my skin remained in pretty good condition. But I don't smoke or sunbathe and I drink alcohol only very occasionally so I began to wonder if I was kidding myself and, because it's also quite a significant annual cost if taken regularly - I decided to stop. Ten years on and my skin, though still in pretty good condition overall, is definitely starting to show signs of wear, so I restarted taking it about 5 months ago. My skin started to feel smoother and softer (but more taught) after 6/8 weeks. The really big surprise though was that my podiatrist, who I see every 6 weeks to have hard skin on my feet removed, commented on the dramatic improvement and said that the hard skin had all but disappeared. She asked me what treatments I had been having because the difference was so marked. She said it was really unusual because hard skin on the feet is habitual and progressive. I've decided to stick with Pycnogenol as it's a very worthwhile investment in the defense against wrinkles and premature ageing!

Superb product
Bought for my husband, his legs were showing clear issues with venous return problems - dark patches, varicose veins appearing. Within 2 weeks we could see clear improvements, within 5 weeks the improvements were even better. We are now 8 weeks on and his legs are so improved that it is fantastic. There is no doubt that the bio-pycnogenol tablets are brilliantly effective as he has not taken any other supplements neither are there any other changes that could account for this. However the thing that gets me most excited is that the outward signs are just a visible indicator of the fantastic benefits these tablets must be giving the whole of his body. He also had adult onset acne rosacea, and this too is improving week on week.Absolutely superb product that I will ensure we are never without.
