Amazing Spec......
Needed a bit of work to build and set up but represents fantastic value. The specification, twin suspension, 21 gears, disc brakes etc puts this in a category way ahead of its price. Similar spec bikes are hundreds of pounds more. It rides very well and my 11 year old son is very impressed. The size range is impressive as this will grow with him until adulthood. Friends who are 'professional' cyclists in comparison were very impressed too. Do not expect this to cope with full off-roading but as a hobbiests bike it will cope. It is mainly used as a road bike to and from school and some may say it is too heavy but its versatility for a youngster is excellent.

Cheap bike, cheap parts.
Parts start to rust very quickly. Can only use 4 of the so called 21 gears, otherwise it loses the chain. Even those 4 gears never stay in the selected gear. It’s started to develop clunking noises around the pedals which means they’ll probably cease to function soon. The pedals have both broke.I should emphasise that I don’t go off road, I just use it as a daily commuter. It’s not bad for a starter bike but I’ve barely had it 2 months and only cycle 12 miles a day for work. Obviously this is too much for it. If you see a Boss cycle in future avoid it, is my advice. They should stick to aftershave.

Scared at first due to reviews. But surprised
I was really worried as I didn't read the reviews until after I had purchased the bike, so I was really really worried with what was coming. Im also unsure if we are reviewing different bikes, as in some of the pictures below mine slightly differs. For example one of the pictures below shows a clear plastic cog protector snapped, whilst mine is black and metal. No bent spokes, no bent iron work, front and back disc brakes work great. No problems with paint. It looks great. I could see possible problems with the mud guards but a lot later on. I have no problems as of yet and I am happy. Ignore blue bar in the picture. that's a gator trail for the little ones bike

cheap bike, not worth the money....
first of all, I had to order another, the package didn`t include the front wheel fixing system...the so called "easy to remove", the 2`nd package missing a bolt and the pedals just wouldn`t screw in, due to cheap metal work..., so I had to reconstitute 1 bike from 2 lots!front mud guard is useless, can`t stay in place and keeps on tirning an falling, cheap metal and plastic, and the gear switching is another story...a little too heavy, just won`t change fromn 2`nd to 3`rd gear in the front gears...so where are my 180 pounds gone? it`s a cheap not more than 50-60 pounds worth....and it`s heavy like hell,12 kg...but it might just do the work after I start fixing the switching system, the front brakes...and get rid of useless plastic mud guards...

You get what you pay for...
Don't expect a fantastic mountain bike for just over £150! However, what you do get is perfectly reasonable. The claimed Shimano gears is slightly inaccurate, as the only genuine Shimano part is the rear derailleur - the rest is a Chinese SunRun copy. In fact, apart from a couple of Korean bits and Swiss wheel rims - much of the equipment is Chinese. The packaging states that the bike was "made" in Turkey - and, apart from the frame - "assembled" would be more accurate. WARNING: the front forks are only designed for trail and leisure use (a sticker on the forks states this), NOT serious downhill or heavy use. These, like many other parts on the bike, can be changed for something more suitable. The high tensile steel frame does mean that the bike is on the heavy side, but with gradual replacement of various parts, the weight can be reduced. My old - life expired (1995 vintage) - high tensile steel, rigid frame MTB (also manufactured by the same group of companies), evolved over the years, and I intend to do the same with this one. It's a ride-able starting point - but it won't resemble its current form for long. I haven't bothered with the mud-guards as they're an unnecessary addition, and easily liable to damage. I can't comment on other reports of parts being damaged or missing, as this was not the case with my purchase. This bike is fine for road and smoother trail use, so is ideal for those with families who do not intend to do any serious rough terrain cycling. As the title says "you get what you pay for..."

Great bike, great build and great price at £152
Great bike, great build and great price at £152.50. You have to assemble it yourself but anyone with rudimentary knowledge could manage it. I Only have one tiny niggle concerning the front mudguard because good engineering practice suggests it needs a large penny washer under the fixing bolt. The bolt is supplied but the washer isn't. Ideally the washer should be about the size of a 2p piece, but I wouldn't suggest you drill a 4mm hole in the queens coinage because I believe it's illegal. However you can probably buy a custom made 'penny' washer for 20p or so ;-)

BOSS!
I LOVE this bicycle, best bike i have ever ridden so far. Reasonable for the money and a brilliant bit of kit, looks sexy in person and is pretty easy to set up and that's without the instructions to hand. Comfortable for what you pay for and feels great when out cycling. If you are looking for a descent bike at a reasonable price then look no further.
