Schneider Slider Basic XB Ballpoint Pen - Black (Box of 10)

When I am working on line or on the phone, I often need to write information down quickly as I work, but often the cheap biros refuse to work without having to scribble with the pen first to get the ink flowing, and half of them end up in the bin hardly used but no longer working, so I checked on Amazon to see what was available for a reasonable price.I ordered a set of these Schneider slider pens, as they seemed to be what I was looking for, but they were a lot cheaper than the roller ball type pens.On arrival they were in a re-useable wallet of four different coloured pens, green, blue, black & red, I tried each one and they all wrote smoothly the first time without any scribbling to get them started.With their slider technology, writing with them is very smooth, not as smooth as the more expensive roller ball types but much better and more reliable than the average Biro, they are well made of a strong clear plastic (probably acrylic) with a rubberised section which makes holding them and using them easier, and it is the same colour as the ink making each colour easily identifiable, they are not clickable, but have a removable cap which clicks firmly into place, and can be placed on the top of the pen when it is in use.The colours are what you would expect, the writing is smooth well defined and clear, and there is no build up of excess ink on the tip that causes blots as you get with some cheaper pens.I have been happy with my purchase, as these pens write smoothly, they work first time round, and with the rubberised section they are easy to use and comfortable to hold, they are much more reliable than ordinary Biros and they are reasonable value for money.Recommended.

Only use these pens now as so pleased with smooth result. They glide and are not at all scratchy and make my handwriting look good. A pleasure to use.

Great pens for a good price. Super easy to write with and they’re really smooth, no scratching the paper like some cheaper biros.

Tight fitting cap but comfrotable to hold. Found the writing action also smooth, but the black ink a bit weak in colour.

Absolute waste of money, constantly have to make scribbles to get ink out of the pen, dry and scratchy when you can get ink out of them.

I came across these pens some years ago on a business trip to Germany. Not only did they do the job as a pen, but the ink seemed to write more smoothly and last longer - obviously depends on the usage - at least that was my perception. A ballpoint is a ballpoint I guess, but these pens certainly have a quality lacking in others I've used.

These are the best pens I've ever used. Found one of these left in a drawer at work when I was looking for a pen, and it's great. So I bought a box of ten, which I've stashed away to stop colleagues nicking them. Very smooth easy writing, I love them.
