Slat type Door Curtain,Bug Blind,Fly Blind,Strip Blind-TRADITIONAL MULTI COLOUR

Item arrived quickly and fits nicely over my door. I like to have the back door open in the warmer weather as our dog enjoys the fresh air as much as any of us, however as soon as we open the door it encourages flies as we have fields next to us.I’ve tried the magnetic fly screens however the dog rips them within hours of them being up when he opens the door to let himself in, which then just leaves a ragged mess hanging in the doorway which leaves gaps that the flies get through, so I needed something else which hopefully he can’t keep damaging.I’ve put 3 small hooks above the doorframe and slotted the rod in from the top. The idea is that during the summer I can leave it up as it doesn’t stop me shutting or locking the back door. Infact today is windy so I’ve knotted the tapes in the middle then trapped them in the door to prevent them blowing about and it’s working just fine. When it’s next calm and the door is open I can just let the knot drop out and they are ready to keep the flies out again.My only complaint is that there isn’t a choice of colours - ideally I would have liked a neutral colour instead of my back door resembling a butchers shop, but given the price and how easy it is to put up, I can forgive the garish colours.The tapes reach all the way to the bottom of the doorframe so don’t leave a gap that flies can find.I’m half tempted to buy another and trim it down and install it over the window frame in the kitchen so I can have that open without the flies too.Cheap, cheerful, looks like it’ll be hard wearing and longer lasting than the other alternatives I’ve tried. Easy to install and light weight. Very pleased.UPDATE: Product still holding up well despite the recent winds. If like me you installed this using hooks then it’s easy enough to take down but to be honest unless it’s really bad out there I tend to leave mine to blow about in the breeze. I don’t remove it when I close the door either as due to the thinness if the strips they don’t prevent me from closing the door, so I just shut it on them. It is a cheap fly screen and as such i dont know how long it will last but when installed it seems to keep fly's wasps and bees etc out of the house , brightly coloured it looks ok and seems safe if a child rushes through the curtain it parts nicely and if it was caught around anything the strands would snap ok for the money.

I was skeptical about buying this as it was very cheap. I am very pleasantly surprised at how well it keeps the fly’s out. It’s very easy to install using either plastic adhesive hooks (buy decent ones, the glue in the cheap ones is rubbish), or screws (for wood frames - if you screw into plastic frames you would possibly invalidate any warranty on them). Very lightweight and easy to just pop up and take down. I admit it did seem flimsy at first but it actually is very robust. My dogs are pretty rough coming through them when they’re playing and it hasn’t pulled it down or broken it so it’s a definite 5 stars from me and I will be ordering one for the front door too. I also like the fact that they are quite retro looking but it would be great if you could choose the colors.

Bought this for my kitchen back door. Does the job on occasions, keeping flies etc out. However, I think the strands are too lightweight, if it is a bit of a windy day, the strands get wrapped around each other and knotted or they just blow around in the breeze and not doing the job it was intended for.I couldn't put any screws or the like into my door, surround, frame or wall. So I bought some strong velcro strips to attach it to the door frame, that has held it in place.I would have paid a bit more for the plastic strands to be a bit more weighty.

We back onto fields and when the weather is warm, we tend to get quite a few flies in the house. This door curtain is excellent, it prevents 99% of the flies from coming in, it doesn't get tangled and is very easy to put up (just use hooks to rest the bar on). My 3 dogs (Boxer, Border Collie and Clumber Spaniel) all go through the curtain with no problem now, although my Boxer boy wasn't sure about it for about the first half an hour of it being up ! He now goes through it fine though ! I now have one of these on both of my garden doors and they look lovely ! If it is a bit windy the strips do blow about, but I would expect that on a windy day, so not a problem for me !! Nice and cheap, does the job and easy to put up - highly recommended !

I kept it rather than paying postage to return it. The hooks also, which are tiny ! I doubt it will keep bugs our. Sparce strips !

I wasnt sure what to expect for the price and it is rather flimsy but does the job. I bought two adhesive stickers to attach to the door and unfortunately even tho it doesnt weigh much it has still bowed in the middle meaning it falls off regularly and is permanently bent so adding another hook to the middle won't help.If your going to buy then use a hook in the middle from the start. I know it's not heavy and you dont think it needs one but it defo does. Will need to get another next year but for that price I cant complain.
