Coffee alternative avoids headaches
I began using Barleycup when I started getting bad headaches drinking coffee. I prefer to drink it without milk and have been using it for years now. It has risen drastically in price, but is still good value as the jars are large.

Very good if you're trying to reduce caffiene intake
This is a good, reasonably priced coffee substitute, I've used it for years and prefer the powder to the granules. It does have a milder taste than coffee, so I tend to mix 1 spoon of Barley Cup with half a spoon of coffee when I want more flavour, which is fine for me as I'm still reducing my overall caffiene intake. (I've used one substitute called Wake-up which tastes more like real coffee but is much more expensive.)

Yummy stuff!!
Tasty and good value coffee-alternative. I feel like I need to have at least one cup a day otherwise I miss it. Only thing I noticed was my teeth have picked up a bit discolouring since starting consuming this.. not sure if related, hope not as it won't stop me drinking or buying this product!

Very pleasant drink that would be my mid-afternoon tipple
Got the taste for Barley Cup a while back. This is the cheapest way to buy it; and buying DIRECT from the Factory gives well over £1 saving per bottle compared to any UK supermarket. Chickory and rye can give you the farts now and again though but it's a really wholesome Ovaltiney-esque taste with a bit of tea and coffee built in. VERY VERY pleasant taste. Buy the 3-pack for best value.

Love it!
I've come to really like my Barley Cup and have it every evening. Stopped drinking coffee because my BP went sky high after drinking it so regular coffee is just a treat now. Saying that I do not prefer real coffee over Barley Cup, like them both equally although of course they do not taste alike.

Disappearing
Im concerned that this item is fast disappearing from the shelves at my local health food store. I'm wondering if it is being discontinued. I've always enjoyed this drink and there is no real substitute for it - as far as taste goes.

Product fine but insane amounts of packaging
I appreciate that you don’t want the product to become damaged during transit but this arrived wrapped in 5 metres of bubble wrap. This is a crazy amount of unnecessary plastic.

Put one teaspoonful of Barleycup into hot (not boiling) water. Add milk, sugar or honey to taste. Or try a refreshing Barleycup chilled over ice with lemon.
