Wooden Bunk Bed
Swapping from a clunky metal framed bunk bed this has proved a HUGE SUCCESS!All the comments and reviews were spot on. I knew some of the wood would splinter putting in the screws (avoidable if I wasn't so heavy handed with it), it would be a two person job (although we put it together in a tiny box room and managed to stack them both together easily enough I could have done it on my own), and that there would be a screw hole missing in the ladder (only one out of five so really not an issue to stability).Very easy to assemble, I can see the potential to be a bit confusing but all the pieces are numbered and you just have to look carefully for the numbers written on the ends of each piece. Ikea furniture is a LOT harder in comparison to this.A bit shorter in height and length than what we had originally but we have a half size room so the extra space is a bonus!Due to the lower height, the top bunk will be perfect for a slightly taller 15 year old we have staying 4 nights a month who has been bumping her head up until now. For anyone questioning if an adult can sit/sleep on them, you can! held my weight (8 1/2 stone of it) just fine, just be mindful of a few creaks as the wood settles into it's first use - sounded like it was breaking (ops) but no damage at all!Overall, a really great buy, delivery was FANTASTIC and came a day earlier than expected, their customer services were brilliant when I emailed them via Amazon to ask that they take down a private number to call if nobody was in as we work full time. Really is great value for money, looks amazing and really good quality.

My 2 children love this bed. Bought for a 7 year old and a 3 year old.
I like this bunk bed. I needed to get this type of bed as I have a son and daughter that share their bedroom for now. My children were overjoyed with this bed. It is easy to put up I was able to put it together myself, being a single mum, though I did ask for help to put the top bunk onto the bottom bed. If you do purchase this bunk bed and your child was used to sleeping on a high bed I would suggest they sleep on the bottom as my daughter who used to sleep on a high bed, fell out of this bed luckily enough she was on the bottom so not much of a fall. But overall it's a very good bunk bed, good for money, easy to assemble, easy for my 3 year old to climb up and down (my 3 year old is a climber. Wouldn't suggest having a 3 year old to climb up and down but unless you know what you're child is capable of then so be it). I was able to make the bottom bunk into a den for my daughter and she loved it. It'll be great for when they get their own bedrooms as I can just separate the beds into single beds which will be easy enough. But I dont think it would be best to keep swapping and changing to bunk beds then to single beds as the screw holes may ware and get bigger. Sorry such a long post.

Well made solid bed with a few niggles
A good quality bed that feels sturdy, it took around 2 hours to assemble and we were missing two dowels (we got 36 instead of the 38 needed) which was SERIOUSLY annoying, I ended up fashioning two from a pencil to save a trip to the hardware shop. I would recommend using an electric screwdriver with a hex bit to assemble this though, I can imagine it would take considerably longer to assemble using the supplied allen key. Tiny point: the bunk slats are untreated which is fine for the bottom bunk but the top bunk slats perhaps could have had a coat of white primer but not really a big deal.I looked at a wooden bunk bed from IKEA before deciding on this one and I'm happy with my choice, the IKEA bed wasn't as solid or as well thought out as this one with, for instance, broad treads on the steps to make climbing the steps safer and less painful.I chose express delivery and it arrived the next day which was great, my criticism would be that the box looked to have taken a battering and was burst in several places. Fortunately no damage to the bed but there easily could have been judging by the state of the package.Pros:Sturdy bedSolid woodNice designAttractiveVersatile (can split into two beds)Cons:Assembly instructions could be much better2 missing dowels - which if they had been included this would probably have been a 5 star review

Fantastic price and unbeatable quality, highly recommend.
I bought these 3 months ago for my 5 and 6 year old boys. I can not fault these bunkbeds in any way.Firstly it took me between 3-4hours to build these on my own (I'm a 5"7 female and around 103lbs) the wood is light but extremely sturdy, the finish is lovely and does not look cheap at all.I searched for a few weeks for a good pair of detachable bunkbeds so they could be used separately later on, these were a fantastic price and certainly the best looking available. The instructions were easy to follow and very clear, both parcels arrived in less than 24hours of me making the purchase and were well packaged with all pieces/screws included. My boys love them, they finish off their room nicely and they are certainly strong enough to hold an adult on the lower bunk at least (we haven't tried on the top.. just in case).

A very good buy
We've had these for over a year now for our 5 and 7 year olds and we're very happy with them. I was a little dubious about buying online but the reviews looked good and the price was so good compared to other options that we gave it a go. They're great - sturdy, feel safe (although I don't get on the top bunk - it's definitely for children and not adults) and they look good too. I would advise you get the recommended thickness of mattress though - we went for slightly thicker and I did worry about my daughter on the top bunk initially, as the barrier didn't seem high enough (it would be absolutely fine with the recommended depth mattress though). Saying that it's never been a problem and I've relaxed since! I absolutely recommend these bunkbeds for children - they also can be used as two separate beds so that's a plus too.
