Son Of The Mask [DVD] [2017]

This is great film, laugh out loud funny. Admittedly no-one will ever be able to play the Mask quite like Jim Carey but the baby and Alan Cumming as the Norse god of mischief Loki are the stars of the film. Alan Cumming is perfect in the role and delivers laugh after laugh offering a new spin on the classic depiction of Loki. I think the reason I love this film even more is my son is called Loki and he's been a little mischief from birth! This is a great film for all ages, children can appreciate the wacky, slapstick humor while adults (especially those with children) can relate to one father's hectic time looking after his baby who's a complete terror 90 % of the time! (like most kids are!)

I was a big fan of the original film growing up and was happy to see that my daughter enjoyed it too. But I couldn't help feeling that parts of it may be a little bit violent for a 4 year old, mostly the scenes involving gangsters. So I decided to buy her this, although it is an inferior sequel it is much more kid friendly and has plenty of silly humour and action to keep them amused. It does mean that me and my wife have to sit through Jamie Kennedy's woeful performance on a regular basis but our daughter likes it and that's the important thing. It's cheap and arrived in excellent time, that's why it gets 5 stars.

Turned up great condition and was funny to watch.

This film is as awfully brilliant as I remember , an absolute hit with my 8 year old who jumped around the room laughing , as if he himself had transformed into the son of the mask !!
