My vet recommended this to boost the immune system of my cat that has a herpes virus. I've been using it for 6 months and have had no re-occurrences of mouth ulcers, so I am very pleased. I open a capsule and mix it with his wet food once a day. He doesn't mind it at all.

I take this with a xylitol mixture to bust biofilm of Lyme disease. It works great and honestly its the only thing that has brought on a severe herx for me when taken with the xylitol.

It seems to do the job that I ordered it for. Will continue to use and see how good it will turn out.

I took my first capsule last night at 11. An hour later I felt increased blood flow, energy, improved mood (all unexpected!) but I woke up st 6am with a TERRIBLE stomach ache With diarrhea. I don’t consume dairy because lactose bothers me but have read that the real/better bovine lactoferrin have had the lactose removed. If this is the case (tho it feels like a lactose ache) I’m wondering if it could be that the product is acting as an irritating prebiotic.I’m sad about this because is LOVED how I felt within an hour of taking this, and unlike another reviewer I read that lactoferrin can help with IBD. I may give this product one more shot by using half a capsule to see if this is just something my body needs to get used to - and I’m only willing to do try it again because I had a similar reaction to Enzyme Defense when I first started it so I tried again a week later with 1/3 of a capsule, then built up from there.Note that I am not normally sensitive to supplements. This truly feels like a lactose issue.

Good product but be careful if you have IBS. Within a couple of hours of me taking it, it gave me horrible diarrhea. I had read in other articles that there was a chance of that happening with Lactoferrin and IBS sufferers and it absolutely did. My husband (who does not have IBS) had no problems.

I dreaded the need for iron supplements, mainly because of the possible side effects associated with supplemental iron. However, the addition of this Capsule has contributed to me having no adverse effects from a needed iron regiment. I am very happy it was suggested to me. They even got me through iron infusions without a single adverse reaction.
