Ive tried all the cheap pound shop versions as I do a fair bit of posting and they never live up to jiffy. These are thick, strong and light and it makes sense to bulk buy from here than pay the ridiculous prices in post offices. Not much else to mention really, they are great and as long as you dont mind shopping around on amazon can get them 10p each or less.

I always like using Jiffy as the postal services aren't that reliable when it comes to delivering things without folding them, mashing them and basically destroying them in transit. These envelopes keep my books and others safe, and they don't weigh much. Great price too. Much better than shopping at Staples.
