Discover Home Freeze Drying

I almost did not buy this book because there were so many bad reviews. But I really like it because I am totally new to freeze drying and know nothing- so for me it is a good place to start. Not a receipe book although it has some in it.

Just what I needed. Plenty of recipes and instructions. I usually can but just started looking into freeze drying

Doesn’t list times or temps. Mainly just ideas on foods you can freeze dry, ways to use them, store, and then rehydrate items.

Book is very informative.

I bought this book thinking I would learn more recipes and I was highly disappointed. For the cost of this book, it roughly goes over the same exact "tips & tricks" as the book that comes with the freeze dryer. Looking at the recipes, I'm not overly impressed with them either, as these recipes are easily found by watching YouTube videos or joining Facebook Groups. For the amount of money they charge, you would expect a lot more. I was seriously underwhelmed and not impressed at all. Don't waste your money on this.

Good basic book with lots of ideas and recipes. Was hoping for more details. Lots of pictures

I purchased this book thinking it would have how long to let each item to be freeze dried. It don’t! It even has on the front “tips, recipes and more” if it gives you recipe and how to freeze dry it, it should have how long to leave in the freeze dried. We will keep doing what we have been doing using Google. So disappointing.

Very disappointed in this book. May be good for someone thinking about buying a freeze dryer but for anyone with one already this is a lot of marketing and basics, with a few recipes thrown in. Nothing that isn’t already available through FB groups and YT.
