A Purchase for Functionality
I had the opportunity to see Filofax in person before COVID-19 but not in this color. From what I had remembered, the leather was buttery soft. Definitely not dense-coarse or rugged. I had a stack of A6 6 ring loose leaf filler paper inserts from Amazon, so I was hoping to use them, so I bit the bullet and bought this notebook ( a few coins less than most shops sell for- which is nice). It took forever to arrive ( which almost deterred me from keeping my order active). But when it arrived, these were my thoughts:1. Packaging was very nice, neatly wrapped and boxed. You can re-purpose the box.2. I got both sets of calendars 2019/2020 ( and through a youtube video-there's a way to salvage them)3. I got the color and plain lined paper inserts, which were nicely constructed and thick over 70 gsm.4. The planner is so small: meaning that I have several A6 or what they call "personal size planners/daytimers" and they are bigger by about 2 inches in height.5. This color ( ochre) is very antique looking in design/structure and very shiny, so if you are not into nostalgic texture and look- don't choose this style/color.6. The reason why I did NOT return it for a refund: This little Malden can hold ALOT. And when I say alot, I mean it can hold over 320 pages of inserts, 2 notepads, 3 pens, 5 credit cards, a metal ruler, a stack of sticky-notes, and cash, and still close securely with out adding stress to the snap closure. There are so many videos on how to set up and how much you can put in this Personal size Malden -Ochre and the more you put in it the better. Keeping the cardboard inside both side pockets are also useful if you want your Malden to be stiffer.7. Expect to see a few small blemishes and nicks on the leather. There were other comments about that, and it is true. I have a few on the back and inside cover of the my Malden.Overall, it is a nice piece of functional craftsmanship- I would recommend having a clear purpose for the Malden, before purchase.

Not real leather
I was quite disappointed in that the malden was not the leather that had been used in the past. I have purchased the same malden planner in two different sizes and there is a distinct difference in the appearance of the leather. It looks more like plastic than leather.

Satisfied but no refill
used a pocket size filofax for 2021, I was thinking switch to something between A8 size and A6. I found out that this A7 size is perfect for me. However I bought because the seller has answered somebody’s question as “they will add 2022 refill for free” 2month ago. I don’t know why I don’t have that. And is almost the end of 2021 I don’t know what should I do with the whole 2021 agenda.

Love
I am very happy with this product. Very sturdy and you can fill it with lots of stuff and it still closes. I used to have the personal size zippered wallet and I could never get the zipper to close. This is perfect for keeping receipts, cash, and a few coins in. I could not fit my checkbook in here but I rarely use it, so not an issue for me. The rings are a tiny bit wider than the personal one I used to have so I do like that. I use this thing constantly and it functions nicely. I carry it in my backpack along with tons of other things and it never opens and spills out.I bought a mini pen to keep in it because a regular size sticks out.I added the credit card holder for easy access to my 2 most-used credit cards and they are easy to grab for me. I also added a pocket to the back of the three rings where I separate little things that I need, such as postage stamps and small receipts.I have 12 credit cards in the front pockets before the coin zipper. I have a few more in the back pocket because I believe adding more would have not left enough room for my coins and proper closure.Sometimes I pull out money from the bank to make a $600 pmt and it does fit in my large pocket, where I show in the pic where I keep my bills, but it doesn’t close as easily. I could force it but I’d rather not.The leather is very soft and flexible and stitching is great. Again, I have used this brand in the past and I know the stitching will last since absolutely nothing happened to my last wallet.

Durable
The softness of the Malden feels so good. I really love my planner and me being rugged and stashing the planner in my handbag has really held up very well. Durable and even if it would get a few scratches from being inside the handbag, a little leather conditioner if needed and they will seem to disappear and give the planner character. It was worth the money I paid.

Yes Yes and Yes
Oh my goodnes! I got the malden ochre in the personal size and I was and still am fighting with it to work for me. (A little back ground.... I come from Leucttchurm/Moleskin A5's to a Midori Standard and Passport size.) I literally thought this pocket malden looked super awesome because of the long wallet opening across the back. I had no real expectations. But when it got here way sooner than my personal. It was great. It fit all my inserts that I was using in the passport midori and leather field notes cover. It fit cash ( the cash slot across the top is super deep). The color is beautiful, the capacity is awesome, I kept all of the inserts it came with and added a small muji passport size notebook, about 40 pgs, and i added a small 3 x4.75 book, about 300 pgs. It is defintely great. It is nice to travel with and it will fit in your palm and in a small purse. However, it will NOT fit your iphone, but that's okay. If you can survive in a TN passport or pocket size, this pocket malden is for you!

Dry leather
This is my third malden and by far the worst. The leather is dry and cracked. Very disappointed
