A great muzzle for my scavenger!
Sizing a muzzle is complicated. For newbies, a properly fitted muzzle often looks too big, but it shouldn’t hold their mouth shut, it should allow a FULL pant. My boy is 10kg/22lbs and has a long poodle nose. He wears a size six, which is 25cm around the end of the muzzle and 9.5cm long on the nose from in front of the eyes to the end of the nose, these are OUTSIDE MEASUREMENTS, listed on the site. You will need to add to these measurements when choosing a size. The actual INSIDE MEASUREMENTS on ours is 20cm around x 7cm long. Take measurements from directly in front of the eyes to the end of the nose. And a measurement around the muzzle, just behind the nose, while they are holding a ball (to simulate a full pant). It is essential to have the muzzle big enough for a full pant for safety. It’s better, safer, to go too big than too small because of risk of overheating. While wearing the muzzle, there should be about 1/2 - 1 inch at the end of the nose when standing normally because of the insert. The neck strap is fairly long, and adjustable. We really like this muzzle and it works well for our scavenger boy, but it is not appropriate for a reactive or bite risk dog, for that you really want something more sturdy, such as a metal muzzle. This muzzle is not appropriate for flat nosed dogs or ones with overly square heads. Don’t forget that it takes time for training. You can start practicing right away with yogurt cups or similar, by smearing a little peanut butter inside to get them used to putting their nose in it. Remember also to check regularly and size up if you have a puppy. I also recommend the FB group Muzzle Up, Pup! They have instructions on how to choose the right type of muzzle for your needs (bite risk, compulsive eater, etc), how to measure, and tips for training. How big is your dog? Do they have a long nose, like a poodle or greyhound? Or a moderate nose, like a lab or golden? Lots of information and an understanding community.

And lightweight model that is quite comfortable but will break after a while
I do rate this muzzle. It’s a bit flimsy and prone to breaking but the upside of this is that it is lightweight, unlike other brands, and when dealing with a dog as small as the wearer of this it is totally unnecessary for the cage to be too sturdy and super tough and therefore heavy and make the dog uncomfortable. The buckle is a bit fiddly again because it is flimsy and tends to splay out. I’m on my third muzzle now because they are not well made and break however it is the comfiest brand I have found for my dog and it will last ok if you are careful with it and they are cheap to replace, so that makes sense with the not so great quality. A shame the buckle isn’t a little better. I like the padding too. My dog is a 10kg dachshund cross with a long nose and wears size 4. He doesn’t love having it on but will forget about it on walks. If I had a heavier and more dangerous dog I wouldn’t go for this brand but something stronger.

Perfect protection for dogs
We bought this muzzle for our rescue border collie for her own protection really so she was not put in a situation with a new dog where she felt like she needed to react. We were worried that her measurements put her between sizes as she has a very long snout but a very small circumference so we went for the larger size 5 thinking that it would probably need to be returned as too big around the nose but were pleasantly surprised to find it was a perfect fit. Length wise the muzzle was just about the right length but we removed the insert and now it is perfect. It was very lightweight and easy to fit and the dog was not bothered by it at all - I think that may be because she is used to a figure 8 head collar being around her face. It allows her to open her mouth and pant without restriction.Seems like good quality and could definitely save her from reacting and causing harm whilst we get her used to a new dog as she can snap when anxious.A very good value muzzle and, for us, a great fit if you read the sizing instructions and remember to buy according to the nose length.

Labrador seem to know how to destroy in seconds
Loved the look of the muzzle and fit, but similar to a previous review, our 6 month old labrador puppy had it off in seconds on second outing and bit straight through one of the sides

Excellent muzzle for a scavenger dog!
This has made such a different to my early morning walks with my Labradoodle. She is a terrible scavenger and as of late has had some bad tummy upsets after picking up some unknown rubbish. Somewhat surprisingly, I have no trouble putting the muzzle on her and as she can still sniff, receive treats through the muzzle and drink whilst wearing it, she continues to be a very happy, friendly dog. I live in a town full of students who like to picnic, etc. where we walk and it seems they often have little concern about just leaving their rubbish where they have eaten and just walking away; so there has been incidents that I had to remove chicken bones out of my dog's mouth; but now we can have carefree walks which are fun for both of us!

Okay
Can come off quite easy but good enough for my dog who doesn't need it for aggression but because she eats everything

Good
Seems like a decent muzzle. Unfortunately my dog wouldn't let me put it on her.
