Excellent Backpack
I had considered for some time buying a tripod backpack having seen several people with them and how useful they found them.I did quite a bit of research and found several reviews on other packs that all said how good they were, but that the one thing that let them down was the absence of any pockets to put things in. So I kept looking and found this little gem. It was not a make I recognised which made me a bit wary, but I had no need to worry. It came in record time and is a really well-made backpack with good, firm velcro fittings for the tripod that are sturdy and strong. The material the pack is made of seems to be very good, with strong stitching and good zips to the pockets. The pockets themselves are all I hoped for. They are not big enough to put a cagoule in, but will easily take a pack-down mac, have plenty of room for things like sandwiches, filters or remote controls and a decent sized drinks bottle holder.I have used it a lot since buying it and found it comfortable and easy to wear over long periods. I have used it both with the camera and long lens fitted, and without and it has never interfered with my walking or been anything other than brilliant. I would thoroughly recommend it, both for price and quality.

Works well but after roughly a year's use some stitching is coming undone at the top of one of the main shoulder straps.

Great piece of kit
Excellent backpack for my Opticron scope. I have just returned from my first trip after using it whilst cycling. Fitted very nicely and comfortably on my back whilst on the bike, no problem of it getting in the way. Plenty of pockets to put bits and pieces in. Easy to use when off the bike as no need to remove the tripod from the pack to use the scope. My only comment would be that as it fits snugly to my back it gets quite hot so may look at some way of padding it out a bit to get some air flow, but otherwise an excellent piece of kit.

Not as easy as you would imagine.
Some instructions with product would have helped, as to how it is fitted to tripod. Has removeable storage bag which can foul central column , but overall comfortable to carry and not too high on your back.

Spot on!
Brilliant scope carrier. It’s robust, easy to attach to tripod, has useful zip compartment and detachable bag. I’ve been using this for over a year now on a regular basis (being a fanatical birder) and I’m really not sure how I managed before without it. Carrying a scope is now so easy and comfortable; I never have to think whether I can be bothered to lug a scope around a reserve or across countryside. I’ve even bought one as a present for a birding friend and she is equally pleased with it.

Not fit for purpose - check the other adverse reviews before purchasing.
The first time I used the Visionary Viewpack, I carried a lightweight carbon fibre tripod and an 82mm spotting scope (which is probably heavier than most scopes). After c. 30 minutes use, one of the straps for securing the tripod legs had almost totally detached from the main body as shown in the photo. I was not giving it rough treatment or abuse, I was just walking along a level path. This product is obviously not fit for purpose. I returned it immediately for a refund. I would not accept a replacement Visionary Viewpack. In the short time I used it, I found it very difficult to put on and take off as it was very top heavy (some other positive reviews comment on this difficulty). Once it was on and all the straps were pulled tight, it was comfortable enough. It was easier to carry my scope and tripod with the Visionary Viewpack than using the shoulder sling on my scope. However, that advantage is negated by the difficulty of putting on and taking off the Visionary Viewpack. If you are walking long distances with few stops, this product might meet your needs. If you are walking short distances and stopping frequently to use your scope, stick with a shoulder sling or carry your tripod over your shoulder. I also noted that the waist strap is a bit weird with a fastening clip at each side rather than a single fastener in the middle (at least 1 other reviewer made adverse comments about the waist strap). This product gets predominantly 5- and 4-star ratings. My experience is contrary to this. I also suggest you check out the 3- and 2-star reviews before purchasing.
