Best all round sewing machine I ever owned
I love my new Singer Confidence. The automatic needle threader , how easy it is to select stitch, needle position and stitch length and width, the simplicity of bobbin installation and the automatic thread cutter , the very bright light and especially the fact that the needle stays up when you stop stitching .I also liked the fact that there are videos going through every stage from opening the box the detailing the use of every foot possible, easy to find on the internet.

Fabulous !
I have not had a new machine for many years so was nervous about what to buy but this sewing machine is fantastic. Straight out of the box it was easy to thread, the instruction manual was clear and I didn't have to waste time getting used to it as the push button stitch selection is so simple and user friendly. I would recommend this to anyone even a beginner. It feels solid and Im sure it will last me for years !

confidence indeed!
love my sewing machine! i am not terrible at sewing at all! i just have had really old machines. i find the threader helpful although its a little sticky you have to make sure the machine is in the resting position with the needle up and the foot down for it to run smoothly and to the right position, and the little catch which holds the thread while its being maneuvered is only a teeny weeny notch so it can be hard to get the thread into the right position btu if you just follow the instructions with patience it works really well.i love the auto feature, which selects for you the best size of stitch and width, and you can adjust it easily in small increments but consistent, compared to a wheel like i had before its much easier to remember which width you have chosen and get a perfectly matched up stitch width. i have made a weird blouse, with the decorative stitches that are lovely, and a pair of pants with fleece fur and a stretch stitch which wasnt hard and didnt seem to mind the fat fabric. and a made a pair of pants with silk, very light sari silk, and it dealt well with the flimsey fabric too, all without ahving to change feet or adjust anything.its very pleasant to put the underneat bobbin in so easy and cuts and keeps your thread neat in a wee notch, also ive not been very careful about bringing my upper thread back and it seems to cope so well with that and hasnt made a big mess, which my old machine would.the only thing i will say, is it doesnt go very fast, its highest spead is not that fast, not that is a very good thing really because one can end up speeding ahead and ruining something, but id like it a wee bit faster. the acceleration doesnt zoom ahead of you it speeds up gently when you press full on so i havent had any foot slipping accidents yet even when ive acidently trod on the pedal. it also makes quite a nice humming sound so if you adjust your speed up and down you can make a little tune. not a feature one might be looking for in a sewing machine but as sewing can get boring these things matter, if it sounded aweful it would annoy me.the light is good too, and being able to remove the whatever its called, erm, panel that you sew on, so you can slide a childs jumper arm in to sew around it is really great, its just narrow enough for a small sleeve.i cant wait to try more fo the features on this its just such a good name too. confidence, solid basic but with really nice features and not too many ridiculous ones. i spent a few years looking at machines and am so glad i got this one, its not too fancy and its not too basic and it really has given me confidence.

I truly fantastic machine...
It runs like a dream. I love it! I would have given it 5/5 stars, but you cannot drop the feed dogs. If you could do that, then this machine would be in the same running as Berninas. Having said that, it's sturdy, the instruction manual is well laid out and informative. In all honesty, there is truly nothing wrong with the machine (except not being able to drop the feed). The only thing I found wrong with it was my own silliness in not reading the manual properly about the stretch stitches. But that was my mistake, not the machines and certainly not Singer's. Thank you SINGER!!!

GREAT SEWING MACHINE!
This machine was a replacement for my old Singer which just gave up the ghost after 45 years! The push button digital selection is a bit easier that the old system of replacing cogs, though I rarely use the fancy stitches. I bought this model for it's built in needle threader which has been BRILLIANT! (Looks complicated to make the threader work but once you have the knack it is easy!)

Perfect machine
Excellent sewing machine with a range of stitches including button holes and embroidery stitches. The machine is easy to use and is well worth the money... You can't really go wrong with a Singer but this one is good value for money.

The machine is very good and perfect for somebody of limited skills with sewing ...
this was delivered extremely fast... only had to wait a day for it. The machine is very good and perfect for somebody of limited skills with sewing like myself as was a breeze to thread, fill a bobbin and fit the bobbin and away I went sewing merrily.... Also with 30 stitches to choose from would be great for a more experienced user than myself... what more is there to say... it's a Singer and a jolly good one.
